The drop in attention spans noted by researchers has very real consequences for learning. Many parents understand the challenge for children to focus and engage with academic content, fuelling the demand for more personalised, 1-on-1 classes.
When lessons cater to specific needs, children report greater confidence and information retention, leading to better grades.
Our 1-on-1 classes cater to students as young as 5 years old, training them to learn better and be all-rounded achievers.

We are midway through June and some of the kids have been bitten by the writing bug! This holiday, many students have requested for extra lessons to brush up on their creative writing skills.
SO happy to know that these kids are discovering writing as an interest! Keep it up!!

- A question that Megan was often asked by her English teachers whenever her composition was shared with her class. Megan - my student since Pri 1- would always reply, "From Miss Yan at Little Ink Pot."
Megan is now in Year 3 of the IP program. Jumping from P6 to IP was a steep learning curve and her grade initially dipped for a few terms. I encouraged Megan to set her sights further than her termly results and aim for a strong finish in Year 6.
Together, we read widely and help her build a solid knowledge in the fields of politics, social sciences, technology and philosophy- recurring themes in the IP program. We review articles, opinion pieces, and research reports and keep a diary where Megan writes short paragraphs on commonly tested IP topics.

Some children can be introverted and may find it hard to express themselves in a classroom setting with outspoken peers. Even though they may be bursting with creative ideas, these children tend to hold back due to shyness. Little Ink Pot provides a nurturing environment to encourage the shy ones to speak their mind and not miss out on the joys of learning. A wealth of materials are provided to stimulate thinking and broaden one's horizons. Message today to find out more!

Previously from the GEP at Henry Park Primary, D scored distinctions in his PSLE and was at the crossroads of picking his secondary school. His mother then approached me to choose a school that would best suit his personality.
I was very humbled to be given such an honour and with D's inquisitive nature and love for knowledge, I told him RI would be his best choice. So off to Raffles' he went, and spent many fruitful years there. Today, D is studying Finance in a prestigious university in the UK and we still keep in touch on Facebook.
Teaching is truly a gift that keeps giving and I am happy to still be a part of my students' lives as they go from strength to strength! - Ms Yan ๐ฅฐ

My student, Rocky Hwang (Overseas Family School), read Shakespeare last term and I'm so proud of him for his progress!๐ฅณ
Rocky had come to the right person for guidance! Using my personal collection of graphic novels and study guides, we were able to navigate some challenging texts. Within weeks, his view of Shakespeare went from '๐คฏ ' to '๐'.
I've always enjoyed teaching kids from OFS as their English syllabus gives students the opportunity to read widely and engage in critical thinking.
Rocky now has a great appreciation for the Bard and we both look forward to more reading and writing! ๐๐ช๐ป

๐ช๐ฒ ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ญ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐!!! Happy to announce that our small cohort of 15 students have all scored 'A's for English. Well done, kids!!!!
Initially starting as a group class in Secondary 1 and 2, the students moved to 1 to 1 lessons at Secondary 3 due to the differences in their learning needs. This personalised approach allowed them to target their weak areas more effectively. We put great emphasis on writing, producing essays on a weekly basis. The efforts have fully paid off!!๐๐ Congratulations ๐ฅณ and enjoy the rest of your holiday!!

Nathan has been taking weekly personalised classes. Learning with dyslexia is his challenge and we constantly monitor and adjust his classes to suit his ever changing learning needs. So pleased to know that his school has awarded him for his efforts. ๐โค๏ธ
