Never put metal in the microwave unless the metal was specifically made to be used in the microwave

Safety Tip #7:
Tie up long hair and try not to wear loose clothes when cooking.
This might result in your house burning down or worse, hair in food.

Safety tip #6:
Turn off your kitchen appliances after use. We surely do not want your kitchen to burn down or something....

Safety Tip #5:
Use a separate chopping board for meat, to prevent contamination.
Safety tip #4:
After using a kitchen tool (eg. knife), don't leave them lying around in case of an accident happening. One way is to place them in the sink after use.
Safety tip #3:
When pouring liquids, always pour in the direction away from you. This is to prevent the liquid (esp. hot liquids) from spilling on yourself.
