Some might not know… before I started Molly Manners as a happy project back in 2013, I was a teacher in various schools (both gifted and mainstream) plus a psychologist at the HQ. Participating mainly in the Aesthetics and English departments 🥰.

Combining my psychological background, teaching diploma and teaching experience somehow seems to be a good intersection with what I am doing now ~ social skills and manners education! Delving into how the brain works, our neuro and nervous systems, conducive learning environments etc 🙏, and whether the system is preparing our students for the world out there!

Sharing a pic of a current stint in a school, where I get to witness how childhood and children are changing through the years, the MOE new initiatives and basically; back in a grounded, structured environment with fellow peers. 👩‍❤️‍👨

As Singaporeans don their red shirts & outfits, I am reminded how a tiny island state of our’s, without natural resources and only land scarcity, had built herself up past survival, to a state of prosperity and contribution to the world. 🙏

With faith, unity, gumption & the appropriate strategy, a growth mindset had enabled our early forefathers to circumvent and rise above the seeming dire circumstances. 💫

Let this spirit continue to remain in us. And let your smile change the world 😇
