Etymologically, the word 'Tutor' from Latin (tuērī) means to 'watch over' and 'to protect' (Middle English), and that is referenced by A*chievers' tutors as our ethical responsibility. Hence, we focus on interacting and guiding the student not only in the academic challenges they have in schools, but also extending our duties into preparing them for their future by enlightening them of their own r
elevance, responsibility and relationship of their current and future self. As such, our students are respected as adults for their choices and the conscientiousness with the school and our tutors overlooking and protecting the well-being of their growth physically, mentally and morally. There is only one rule here at A*chievers; Only Volunteer, Never Appoint. Every person has the ability to create reality as the choice of our actions lead to the manifestation of reality itself. As much as we conveniently indulge in our inexplicably disillusioned notion of "no choice", the truth of our responsibility to our own present and future states is, irrefutably, reality itself. Dedicated Team of Tutors - Not only do they know how to play hard, they are capable of working hard too! Our tutors are professionals with relevant knowledge in the field of their subjects and the necessary experience in classroom and student management. During examination seasons and holidays, ad-hoc workshops will be conducted by the tutors for revision purposes and as a benefit for all students, these workshops are also made available to the public. Course Description
Our courses are based on the current syllabus and standards required for our students' academic achievements. The class size of each course typically ranges from 3 students (for it to commence) to 12 students. Content and Feedback intensive courses, such as General Paper (for Junior College students), might be capped at a smaller class size. Assisted by modern technology and the internet, our courses focus heavily on real-time student-teacher interaction, engagement and feedback. Our courses also feature a 'No Homework' Policy and worked on a self-relying feedback assignment based system that features 1~3 concept questions which will require only 10 minutes of the student's time and dedication. If further practices are needed, students are encouraged and reminded to request for them from our readily available resources. Learning Environment
A*chievers Tutorial School provides our facilities and classrooms for all registered students to use for their academic purposes - self-revision, research, homework, consultation etc. As self awareness and responsibility are essential traits for our students, we encourage our students to request for the readily available question papers whenever they feel the need to as a supplementary service to our 'No Homework' policy.
