Entrepreneurs are born, and they are made. You are born to be the type of entrepreneur you are meant to be. You might be a hustler or an imitator. You might be the buyer or the innovator. There are many different types of entrepreneurs, and you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. You just need the right skill sets and conditions to help you succeed.

The MSc TIP focuses on educating and nurturing leaders for the entrepreneurship ecosystem, through academic knowledge acquisition, entrepreneurial mindset cultivation, and business skillset development.

Emphasising experiential learning, MSc TIP integrates the knowledge of emerging technologies and innovative business models and practices into its curriculum. The course covers the strategic and operational issues of entrepreneurial ventures at their different growth stages. Participants have opportunities to engage with various stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem throughout the programme.

Dr. Xia Zhiqiang, Programme Director for MSc Technopreneurship & Innovation Programme (MSc TIP) at Nanyang Technopreneurship Center, shared insights about innovation and entrepreneurship with the audience at the China Education Expo 2021, Beijing, during the webinar sharing session on 24 October 2021.

Dr Xia said, "Under uncertainty, you may need to shoot first and then aim. Using an iterative process to adjust the target in planning and ex*****on. Learn to think, verify, optimise, or create new business opportunities.”

Being a technopreneur not only seeks opportunities, takes risks, and has an adventurous mindset but also exposes themselves to emerging technologies and makes use of these technologies to identify economic values and turn ideas into actions.

The best way to obtain such knowledge is to hear from the industry. This month, we are pleased to have invited Mr Albert Ching (Founder, Vice Chairman & CTO, i-Sprint Innovations Pte Ltd), Ms Kwek Hong Sin (Global Relationship Officer for ASEAN CIO Association, CEO & Founder of Ssinwattana Crowdfunding Corporation Ltd) and Mr Ng Hoo Ming (Chairman, ASEAN Network Security Action Council, Deputy Chief Executive, National Cyber Resilience, CSA) to share their insights on entrepreneurial opportunities in cybersecurity.
