It’s been some time since I last posted - I’ve been merrily busy working on an extension of TWS in Jakarta .id, and of course, continuing to nurture and grow our learners at TWS offline every week.

I started The Weekend School back in 2019, but I’ve never really shared the full story of my why. To parents who have been following TWS’s journey and to parents who are new here, here’s an introduction / re-introduction of The Weekend School 🤍

TWS offers 3 programmes currently:

The Weekend School’s Signature Thematic Programme (preschool levels N2-K2) is all about hands-on activities integrating language, numeracy, science and exploration. Children get to have first-hand experiences in engaging and compelling ways. A well-rounded hands-on class with integration of far-ranging skills like language, numeracy, social interaction & communication, empathy and problem solving: it includes phonics, blending, numeracy concepts (NEL guide) and science / general knowledge topics! 🗺️🔬

The Language and Numeracy Programme (preschool levels N2-K2) focuses on preschoolers’ reading - phonics, blending (of letters, digraphs, trigraphs), sight words & books, writing, math concepts and logical thinking skills through concrete, pictorial & abstract experiences! It goes in-depth in language and numeracy learning to provide the children with exposure & build confidence to take on tougher concepts in along the way! ➕📚

Weekly Brain Workouts (lower primary levels P1-P3) gears primary students to tackle school assessments independently and accurately with full syllabus, step by step explanations and lots of practice & guidance ✏️
