Minister for Transport Mr Lui Tuck Yew had awarded 18 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate scholars with the MOT Family Scholarship this evening.

Named the “Beacon Scholarship”, the MOT Family Scholarship is an umbrella talent development programme for the MOT agencies - Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Bensen Koh was awarded the Beacon Scholarship in 2010 and had joined CAAS in May this year after his graduation. Currently, he handles projects that are related to geopolitics such as looking into how developments around the world will change the future through scenario planning, and what measures Singapore could take to maintain its air hub status. Ms Quincy Kwek was one of 18 recipients of the inaugural Beacon Scholarship given out by the Ministry of Transport in 2010. I presented 19 undergraduates and 6 postgraduates with the Ministry of Transport (MOT) Family Scholarship. Having met and spoken with our scholars, I am impressed with their passion and commitment to service. I warmly welcome them into the MOT family and look forward to their meaningful careers in the Public Service.
