It’s been wonderful attending the teachers’ masterclasses on stylistic interpretation by the Muso Music Academy from Perth. So much to learn from these 2 passionate pianists/teachers and how they are transforming music lessons in such a fun yet serious way.
One common misconception in playing the piano is that you just need to hit the right note at the right time. But there is so much more to it, which is why I believe there is never an end to learning. It also involves:
1. Rhythm
2. Articulations
3. Dynamics
4. Phrasing
5. Stylistic interpretation

Grade 5 theory is a minimum requirement for taking higher grade exams in ABRSM (grade 6 & above). Proud of my student for scoring himself a distinction!
