Had an incredible Kagami Biraki celebration at the dojo today!
It was so special to have our whole judo family together, adults, kids, and parents to mark the opening of the year.
We shared light practice and fun games designed so the kids could get to know the adults better (seeing the little ones team up with senior members for “Knight & Horse” was a highlight!). The bonding was everything.
A huge thank you to our coaches for the powerful demonstrations of Nage no Kata and kata randori truly inspiring.
To celebrate, we followed tradition: opening the sake 🍶, sharing mochi, and enjoying a huge potluck feast thanks to everyone’s contributions.
Grateful for this community, the shared spirit, and a bright start to the year. Here’s to growth, strength, and connection on and off the mats!
