Our goal? To develop global citizens who will make positive contributions to the community around them and the world that they live in.

The Global Citizen Academy is The Global Citizen Education Group’s flagship enrichment arm, which offers a suite of enrichment programs in the areas of public speaking, global citizenship, leadership, debate, Model United Nations amongst others. We offer a variety of programs for students from all age groups and backgrounds. Our programs are uniquely designed to be a fun and interactive learning platform for students to learn outside the classroom.

In 2015, The Global Citizen Education Group began with a simple belief: using education as a platform for impact. Our vision has always been to inspire change by transforming every learner into a global citizen. And our mission guides us every day: to equip young people with the 5Cs - Think Critically, Speak Confidently, Write Creatively, Work Collaboratively, Engage Compassionately - so they can seize the opportunities of the 21st century and make a meaningful impact on their communities and the world.

Each color in our 10-year emblem represents a chapter of our journey - different programs, different stories, one shared mission: Empowering Global Citizens!

As we mark this 10-year milestone, we honor:

🎉 Celebrating 9 Years of The Global Citizen Education Group in 2024!

Today, December 20th, marks the 9th anniversary of The Global Citizen Education Group. Let’s take a look back at some of the highlights of 2024 and celebrate the journey we’ve been on. It’s been a year full of growth as we continue our mission to “Transform every learner into a global citizen!”

Over the past 9 years, TGC has:

🤝 Partnered with more than 300 educational organizations worldwide
🌟 Welcomed learners from 27 countries

None of this would have been possible without the support of our students, parents, partners, and the incredible The Global Citizen team.

✨ A Glimpse Back at HIC SEA IV 💡🌏✨

As December rolls around, let’s take a moment with us to reflect on the incredible programs we’ve organized this year for students in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia.

🏆The 4th edition of the HUGEM Innovation Challenge Southeast Asia (HIC SEA IV) stood out as a remarkable event this June, marking a significant milestone as TGC hosted the competition in person at the esteemed National University of Singapore 🇸🇬. Co-organized by The Global Citizen Education Group and the Harvard Undergraduate Global Education Movement, HIC SEA has become an event that nurtures creativity and promotes innovative thinking among participants.

Over three inspiring days, students from Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand came together for hands-on training, engaging discussions, and collaborative brainstorming. Together, they crafted innovative solutions to social issues in Southeast Asia, focusing on two critical United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities 🌳 and SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption & Production 🏭.

✨HIC SEA IV was more than just a competition; it was a vibrant platform for students to connect, learn, and build ideas that could shape a more sustainable future for our community. Are you looking forward to HIC SEA 2025? ✨
