The "I Am Speciable" Movement

The "I Am Speciable" Movement The I Am Speciable Movement is an initiative started out by its founder, Kashif Edwards, to create a Be a part of the movement!

Kashif Edwards is diagnosed with cerebral palsy since birth. Confined to a wheelchair, he has managed to overcome many adversities by challenging himself to live life as normally as he can. Over the years, he has learned how to live life to the fullest, and now he is abreast with many of the current life’s demands – including using a computer, refining his conversational skills, read and feed hims

elf. Now in his 20's, he is the first child born into the family – Keith Edwards (father), Hashimah Hamidon (mother), Keisha Edwards (younger sister) and Hartini (helper). With their never-ending support and love, Kashif has managed to counter his condition by being active in many social levels. The I Am Speciable Movement, conjoined from the words ‘special and able”, is a movement mooted out from his vision. Starting out in a social media platform, Facebook, Kashif hopes to sell the “I Am Speciable” merchandise, such as t-shirts and other items to help people like him, through this page. The “I Am Speciable” movement aims to be “a movement that creates awareness and support to those with cerebral palsy and other disabilities as well as to their families in order to forge better lives through education and activities." The “I Am Speciable” envisions to:

- Provide an active resource and information platform for the general masses towards cerebral palsy and other disabilities awareness.

- Encourage the spirit of volunteerism and empathy for the disabled community through constant engagement with the masses.

- A partnership/collaboration with associations, volunteer workers and other social organisations to promote events and activities geared towards the cause. We welcome volunteers and contributors who share the same vision with us. Together we can do our part to make life better for these 'speciable' people. Thank you Rainbow Centre, Singapore for inviting us to be part of charity carnival yesterday. We were thankful to the person who gave Kashif a chance to be driven in a luxury sports car and to those who purchased the tees, we thank you too. A very meaningful weekend indeed.☺

Hi all, the Movement will be at the Carnival this coming Saturday. Do drop by and bring your family too! 😊

This Christmas, help Rainbow Centre create an additional 450 spaces for children with special needs. As a token of appreciation, we would like to gift to you tickets to the movie premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Early intervention and Special Education are essential in mitigating the challenges our children face, but current space constraints prevents us from accepting more students.
