📢 We are delighted to share that the project, “Building Community Resilience Against Sea-Level Rise: Baseline, Engagement Strategies, and Long-Term Adaptation”, has been awarded under the RIE2025 Marine Climate Change Science (MCCS) Programme!
🤝🏼This initiative is sponsored by the National Research Foundation and led by the National Parks Board and Centre for Liveable Cities, with key participation from the Housing and Development Board, Public Utilities Board, and Sentosa Development Corporation.
The interdisciplinary project team comprises:

• Prof Chu Jian (NTU School of Civil and Environmental Engineering)
• Prof Shirley Ho (NTU Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information)

The recent CEE Industry Mentorship Programme Networking Session brought together mentors and mentees for a morning of meaningful conversations, networking, and shared learning! 💡
This year's programme saw 62 mentees and 50 mentors, reflecting the continued growth of the initiative. 🚀
The session commenced with welcome remarks by Professor Chu Jian, Chair of the School. Mentors also shared valuable insights from their professional journeys and experiences.

We welcomed prospective students and parents to the CEE Tea Party on 9 May! ✨
📌 Professor Warren Chan, Dean of the College of Engineering, gave the welcome address.
📌 Professor Chu Jian, Chair of the School, warmly welcomed attendees and shared an overview of CEE, while Professor Yang En-Hua, Associate Chair (Undergraduate), introduced our undergraduate programmes.
📌 Our student speakers – Foo Chuan Peng Jerrell (Civil Engineering, Year 4), Lee Ling Yuan Kevyn (Environmental Engineering, Year 3), and Eleos Tan (Maritime Studies, Year 3) – spoke about their personal experiences, offering prospective students a glimpse into life at CEE.

CEE alumna Vimalatulasi Vetrivel is a principal project manager at the Land Transport Authority – We Keep Your World Moving, managing projects such as the construction of train stations on the Cross Island Line (CRL).
She is also a founding member of the Association of Women in Construction Singapore (AWiCS), which was formed to support more women advancing in the built environment industry. Vimalatulasi hopes the association will help reshape the perception of the construction industry as more than just concrete, steel and mud.
