🚀✨ CAREERS DAY 2026: REIMAGINE YOUR FUTURE ✨🚀
👩⚕️👨🔬👩🎨👨⚖️👨🌾🐾
What do a biotech scientist, veterinary nurse, lawyer, social worker, creative director, event producer and urban farmer have in common?
They all started with a dream, explored opportunities, and took purposeful steps towards their goals.
On 28 May 2026, our Secondary 2 students embarked on a journey of career discovery at Careers Day 2026, a signature ECG experience designed to help students explore the world of work and imagine the possibilities that lie ahead.
🎤 Through inspiring keynote presentations by Dr Jason Leong, President of vaHPM Asia Pacific, and Mr Zullikhan Abdullah, Event Creative Producer and Technical Director, students gained valuable insights into the realities of work, educational pathways, and the importance of resilience, adaptability and lifelong learning.
💡 Students then attended two career sharing sessions of their choice, where professionals from a diverse range of industries shared:
✅ Their career journeys and experiences
✅ Skills, values and competencies required for success
✅ Educational pathways and post-secondary options
✅ Hands-on activities that brought their professions to life
🎭 To add to the excitement, students came dressed as careers they aspire towards, transforming the school into a vibrant showcase of future doctors, engineers, scientists, designers, entrepreneurs, lawyers, social workers and more.
As part of our ECG journey, students were encouraged to reflect on:
🌱 Who am I?
🌍 Where do I want to go?
🚀 How do I get there?
Through authentic interactions with industry professionals, students developed a deeper understanding of the world of work, discovered the many pathways available to them, and took important steps towards making informed decisions about their future aspirations.

Beyond Frontiers: Learning Beyond the Classroom – Work Experience Programme 2026
What does it take to become a healthcare professional, engineer, educator, business leader, designer, scientist or entrepreneur?
Over the past week, our students stepped beyond the classroom and into the real world through the Kent Ridge Secondary School Work Experience Programme (WEP).
Our students learnt about the real world of work by learning about the industry, participating in authentic workplace tasks and gained valuable first-hand insights into the daily realities of different industries and careers. More importantly, they experienced how knowledge, skills, values and E21CC equip, enable and empower the future of work.
Through their attachments, our students:
🔹 Explored 13 companies and organisations across 8 diverse industries
🔹 Experienced real work processes and workplace expectations
🔹 Learnt from industry professionals and mentors
🔹 Developed E21CC and workplace skills such as communication and collaboration skills, adaptive thinking and information skills
🔹 Gained a deeper understanding of the educational pathways and qualifications that lead to different careers
🔹 Reflected on their interests, strengths and aspirations for the future
The WEP provided students with opportunities to connect their learning in school with the world beyond school, helping them better understand the possibilities available to them after secondary school. By seeing professionals in action and learning about their journeys, students were inspired to think more deeply about their own aspirations and the steps they can take towards achieving them.
As our students continue to chart their pathways beyond secondary school, we hope that these experiences will empower them to make informed decisions about their future and motivate them to work purposefully towards their goals.
A big thank you to all our industry partners and mentors for opening your workplaces, sharing your expertise, and investing in the growth of our students. Your support has made a lasting difference in their learning journey.
