The Databuilders spent another great evening with members from NTU Alumni Club and the public, at our R coding workshop on 5th September.
An enthusiastic group of attendees spent a great evening understanding the programming language, R from Mr. Jeffrey Ong, the co-founder of Databuilder Pte. Ltd. as well as a certified trainer and content designer specialised in data analytics.
Attendees were first introduced to the basics of R and took their maiden steps to R programming. They went on to learn the grammar of graphics and used ggplot2, a package in R, to create good looking charts with just a few lines of code. Finally, participants gained knowledge on how to wrangle data using tidytext, another package in R, to transform data from one format into another.
