40 hours or 1 hour. What's the point?

The best starting point for any child depends on one thing: Are they learning to skate or learning to think?

Today's mission at Somerset Skatepark: Acid drops. Roll ins. Drop ins.

What we saw:
Richie (5yrs) failed his acid drop five times. Not because he can't skate. Because he wasn't carrying enough speed into the drop. He assessed. Adjusted. Tried from further back. Landed it perfectly.

That's not skateboarding. That's coaching and self-regulation under pressure.

Leo and Maddie were distracted at first. Minds racing. By minute 20, they were locked in. Landing every assigned trick.

That's not discipline. That's cognitive readiness.

The board is just the modality.
The method is what transforms them.
One hour. One mission. One badge closer.

Not a skate lesson. The beginning of something bigger.

NO CHECK LIST TO KEEP THEM BUSY. There is no check list of activities to 'keep them busy" but rather, a program of intentional missions and activities be engage campers, apply pressure in the right places and to help them become more capable! 💪
