It's Water Play day at Odyssey! Here come the splashes, laughter and curious little discoveries. 💧

As children pour, splash and explore, they begin to notice how water moves, how it flows, and what happens when they try something new. Through play, they are naturally experimenting with ideas like cause and effect — without even realising they are learning.

Moments like these also naturally bring children together. They learn to take turns, share tools and exchange excited ideas as they explore side by side.

At Odyssey, experiences like water play are never just about fun (though there is plenty of that). Each activity is thoughtfully designed into the schedule to nurture curiosity, confidence and a joyful love of learning.

As part of the Busy Bees family, our educators are now guided by the Bee Curious Teaching Principles in nurturing curious and confident learners.

Learning is not confined to four walls. It is lived, experienced and understood.

Our young learners recently visited Sundowners Beefarm to explore food security and the important role local farmers play within the community. Through meaningful conversations, hands-on observations and close encounters with farm animals, they began to see how food systems are interconnected, from land to table.

Moments like these nurture thoughtful learners who ask questions, make connections and develop a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

Because at Odyssey, every learning journey is designed to broaden perspectives and deepen understanding.

Rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach, we see culture as something children explore through inquiry, dialogue, and experience. Teachers listen closely to children’s ideas, honour their theories, and respond with thoughtful provocations that extend learning.

Through relationships, reflection, and the many languages of expression, children build a sense of identity, belonging, and respect for the world around them!

Art becomes a powerful voice for children, a way to express emotions, explore ideas and make sense of the world around them.

Within the Atelier, creativity flows freely as little hands mix colours, experiment with textures and transform blank canvases into stories that speak without words.

Each artwork holds a moment of thought, wonder or discovery. From collaborative maps to vibrant portraits and expressive strokes, every piece reflects a child’s unique perspective and growing sense of self.

Because when creativity is honoured, imagination finds its wings.

At Odyssey The Global Preschool, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme is thoughtfully woven into our early years. Children are not just learning, they are thinking, questioning and making sense of the world around them.

By exploring real-world themes, children lead their own learning, building true independence and agency. They learn to ask deep questions, listen with empathy and express their ideas with clarity and confidence.
