Just like stretching opens up the body, good sentence structures open up a child’s ability to think, speak, and write clearly.
When students learn how to form and link their ideas properly, their oral responses flow… and their compositions finally make sense.
That’s why I compiled my best tools into a Sentence Structure + Oral Expression Book Bundle to help students:
✔ speak confidently
✔ write clearly
✔ stop fumbling for words

What should your child do when they run out of things to say during Oral exams? 🤐
We’ve all seen it happen. The examiner asks a question.
The child gives a one-sentence answer.
And then… dead silence.
They look up, pondering, searching for words that aren't there.
Here is a simple strategy I teach my students to break that silence:
The “Magic Connector” Method. 🪄
Teach them that when they finish a point, they shouldn't stop.
Instead, immediately use a connector word to tell their brain to find a new angle.
Try these:
👉 “Furthermore...” (此外 - cǐ wài)
→ Forces them to add a new point.
👉 “For example...” (例如 - lì rú)
→ Forces them to give a specific detail.
👉 “Therefore...” (因此 - yīn cǐ)
→ Forces them to conclude with a reason.
These aren't just words; they are structures.
They act like bridges that carry the conversation forward so the student never gets stuck.
This is exactly what I cover in my Sentence Structure & Oral Bundle.
It includes my PSLE Chinese Oral Handbook, which is packed with these essential frameworks to help students speak fluently without the panic.
Stop the awkward silence.
Increase fluency.

It’s easy for students to freeze in Chinese exams because they obsess over what they cannot do. 🛑
They panic over the one vocabulary word they forgot
OR
worry about the "unknown" exam questions they can't predict.
And in that panic, they forget what they CAN DO.
I always tell my students: You cannot control the questions, but you CAN control your structures.
If you can’t find the “perfect” word during Oral, don’t stop. Use the sentence patterns you know to describe it. Keep the conversation flowing.
If you don't know how to write a perfect composition, focus on writing one clear, accurate sentence at a time.
Confidence isn’t about knowing every character in the dictionary.
It’s about having a toolkit of reliable frameworks you can use to handle whatever the exam throws at you.
That’s exactly why I created my Sentence Structure & Oral Bundle...to give students the "Can Do" patterns they need to speak and write without fear.
It includes:
✅ 100+ Essential Sentence Patterns they can use immediately even if their vocabulary is weak
✅ The PSLE Chinese Oral Handbook with frameworks that can handle any topic
✅ Access to over 500 practice questions to sharpen their sentences

Does your child speak Chinese using “English grammar”?
Many students lose marks in Oral and Writing not just because they lack vocabulary but because they lack sentence structures.
They try to translate their thoughts word-for-word from English, resulting in awkward, broken sentences.
To fix this, we don’t need more drilling. We need better frameworks.
That's why I’ve consolidated the exact sentence patterns my students use to bridge the gap between English thinking and Chinese speaking.
My Sentence Structure Bundle includes:
✅ 100+ Essential Sentence Patterns to fix sentence flow
✅ The PSLE Chinese Oral Handbook for the common topics and vocabulary
✅ Access to over 500 online practice questions to make sure they can apply what they've learnt
Now with BOTH vocab AND structure, they can nail the 45% of their Chinese paper.

I remind my students this all the time:
First attempts are rarely smooth.
But they’re always necessary.
Whether it’s oral exams, composition writing, or trying something new.
Growth begins when we allow ourselves to try without fear (as long as the thing we are trying is not morally wrong or harmful).
That’s the mindset I teach at Fun Language Learning.
If your child needs a safe, supportive way to learn English or Chinese, I’m here. DM 'Guide'.
