First Toa Payoh Primary School Welcome to the official page of First Toa Payoh Primary School. We nurture every child to his best.

First Toa Payoh Primary School started in 1968 in Toa Payoh , Lorong 1. On 2 January 2002 the school merged with Braddell, San Shan and Westlake Primary School and was housed in the present premises at Toa Payoh Lorong 8. Miss Rosalind Chia Peck Lan was appointed Principal of the school in December 2001. In December 2008, Miss Pearly Ng Por Joo was appointed as the next Principal. In December 2016

, Mr Chua Choon Guan was appointed as the next Principal. In December 2023, Mrs Jennifer Choy took over and is the Principal for First Toa Payoh Primary School.

Our Primary 3ML and P5HML students enjoyed an enriching experience at Woodlands Regional Library, watching the Malay-language drama Jangan Masuk Stor! ๐ŸŽฌ

Through the performance, interactive quiz and meet-and-greet, students strengthened their listening skills while learning about bravery, creativity and responsible decision-making. ๐ŸŒŸ

Our MK children joined our primary school friends at First Toa Payoh Primary School for a morning of songs, smiles and celebrations.

Our K2 children proudly performed the National Day piece they had worked so hard on. Their performance got the entire primary school on their feet, dancing and singing along with them! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ

We also asked our children what they love about Singapore, from their favourite places to what they hope Singapore will be like when they grow up. โœจ

Our school proudly commemorated Singapore's 61st National Day with a meaningful celebration centred on this year's theme, "๐Œ๐š๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ก ๐’๐ข๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š, ๐†๐จ ๐๐ž๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐!"

In the classrooms, students engaged in thoughtful learning activities and reflections that deepened their appreciation of Singapore's journey and inspired them to go beyond for one another and contribute positively to our community.

The celebration continued in the hall with our National Day Observance Ceremony, followed by a vibrant concert showcasing the talents of both our students and teachers. As we came together in a spirited sing-along of familiar National Day favourites, we celebrated our shared identity and love for our nation.

May we continue to uphold the values of unity, resilience and care as we work together towards a brighter future.

๐ŸŽ‰ Proud Moment for Our Cub Scouts! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our school Cub Scouts Unit is honoured to receive the ๐…๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ค ๐‚๐จ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ ๐’๐š๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“. Ms Tay and Miss Lee attended todayโ€™s ceremony, graced by Guest-of-Honour Ms Elysa Chen.

Ms Chen reminded us that this award is not a destination, but a call to continue living the Scout Motto โ€” ๐๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐.

This reflects our Scoutsโ€™ commitment to leadership, service, and character. We also had the joy of meeting our former student, Noah Wee, a past Cub Scout.

A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers for bringing their cultures to life through food, art, games and hands-on activities. Our children had a fantastic time exploring the experiential booths, enjoying festive treats and playing traditional games with their friends.

FTPPS commemorated Racial Harmony Day with this year's theme, "Our People, Our Tapestry"! ๐Ÿงตโœจ

Our student leaders, guided by their RGS mentors, presented an engaging skit and lively dance performance celebrating Singapore's diverse cultures and unity.

During recess, students explored hands-on cultural booths featuring rangoli, beads art, bunga rampai, food clay keychains, and traditional games like Five Stones and Capteh. They also shared heartfelt messages at the "Gift of Love" booth, while our wonderful PSG introduced them to lacquer fan painting.

Together, we celebrate diversity, cherish our shared heritage, and continue weaving the vibrant tapestry that is Singapore together always. ๐Ÿ’–
