One thing I value about being a trader is having different ways to potentially generate income from the market.
This screenshot is from my own futures trading,
Where I was trading both MGC and MNQ at the same time.
What I found interesting was how quickly things can change,
My USD account was able to cover the loss from MGC and still break even,
While my SGD account couldn’t fully cover it,
All because of a split-second difference in ex*****on.
That’s a good reminder that trading isn’t just about finding the right setup because ex*****on,
Timing and risk management matter too.
It’s also why I don’t like depending on just one trade or one approach to generate all my trading income.
As a full-time trader, I use different strategies and markets as different potential sources of income,
But each one still needs its own proper process and risk control.
This is something I also teach inside my Lifestyle Trader Programme,
Where I share my personal trades, teach different strategies,
And help students review their own ex*****on.
Having a second or even multiple potential sources of trading income can give us more flexibility,
But the real goal is to build them properly instead of chasing every opportunity.
