Galloping into the Year of the Horse together! 🐎🧧
Thank you to all our Preschool By-The-Park families for celebrating with us.
Our community makes every celebration extra meaningful. 💛
From the very first Chinese New Year for some of our little ones…
to our “big and small 财神爷” working hard to send blessings…
to the energetic lion dance that filled our school with joy and laughter —
What a beautiful way to welcome the new year together.
May this Year of the Horse bring strength, courage, and good fortune to every family.
Let’s 行大运 together in 2026! 🐎✨
Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door 🌿
Our K1 & K2 children went on an excursion where curiosity led the way.
They observed how plants grow, discovered little wonders in nature, planted with their own hands, and even tried buying things independently.
Some were learning how money works.
Some were learning how to ask questions.
Some were simply learning to be brave in a new place.
This is what learning beyond the classroom looks like —
real experiences, small steps of independence, and big smiles along the way 💛

Enjoy our K2 Make Believe 2025 footage ✨
Many people asked us,
“Does Make Believe ending mean the learning ends?”
No, no, no !definitely not.
Make Believe may come to an end,
but children’s curiosity does not.
The essential skills they’ve learned —
Focus & Self-Control, Perspective Taking, Communicating, Making Connections, Critical Thinking, Taking on Challenges, and Self-Directed Learning
will continue with them,
into primary school, secondary school, and beyond.
This is not the end.
This is the children’s voice.
A glimpse into how they see the world,
and what lives in their minds and hearts. 💛

Oh what a treat to be greeted by our Christmas elves who stayed up late to bake for us!
At By-The-Park, families are not silo units. We are a network of families, neighbors, and friends who look out for one another, from drop off chats to sharing tips. It is our Ubuntu in action: I am because we are. Our strength comes from shared belonging, joy and being part of the adventures growing and learning together. This is our Village, our pride and joy.
Tag a friend or family you’re grateful for in your Village.

From Our Classroom - Toddler
Ever wondered how their little minds start to make connections at such a young age?
Through observing and interacting with their environment, and lots of imagination, the toddlers begin to understand the world around them. Over here, a simple block play experience turned into a full birthday celebration, where the toddlers ‘baked’ a cake, sang “Happy Birthday”, and blew out the candles! 🎂 ✨Then came the best part: cutting the "cake," sharing it with friends, and pretending to eat it together 🍰😋
From connecting the Duplo pieces for the cake layers to ‘eating’ the cake that they have ‘baked’ together, it shows how such playful, self-directed learning experiences allow the children to think back on past experiences and make connections through symbolic representation using blocks! It also showed their incredible attention to detail and creativity! 🌟
Such cooperative and symbolic play episodes is where social skills, language, and early problem-solving begin to bloom. What may look like play is actually powerful learning in action! 💡👶🏼

From Our Outdoor Classroom - N1
What can we see from the great outdoors? Our N1 children spotted a snail attempting to glide across our big white wall🐌As the children got nearer, the snail retreated back into its shell. This sparked a conversation between the teacher and the children:
Children: “Uh oh... The snail went home.”
Teacher: “Why do you think it went home?”
Children: “Because he wants to rest.”
Teacher: “What do you think it can do inside its shell while it rests inside?”
Children: “Watch TV and read books!”
Teacher: “Oh! How do you know?”
Children: “Because I read books when I rest at home too!”
In moments like these, we see how outdoor time not only provides children with opportunities to play and discover about the big world around them, but also about themselves! Through their discoveries, the children connected their own experiences with those of a tiny creature—showing care, imagination, and a growing understanding of empathy! ✨

From Our Outdoor Classroom - N2
Laughter could always be heard. As these two little ones engaged in a simple game of hide and seek with a duck toy, giggles were heard from afar, and a blooming friendship was observed.
It is through such simple play episodes that the greatest joy takes flight!✨

Tiny hands, HUGE impact! We had our World Water Awareness Week between 17-21 March to commemorate World Water Day, which happens on 22 March every year!
Our little humans not only engaged in various meaningful and hands-on activities to explore the different and vital roles that water plays in our lives, but also reflected on how we can conserve this very precious resource of ours and make a difference in our world!

From Our outdoor Classroom – k1
She was stirring sand with a stick,
arranging leaves like garnishes,
serving “main course” made from stone.
Then she looked up and asked me,
“Can I be a chef when I grow up?”
I smiled and replied,
“Why not?”
She nodded seriously,
and went back to cooking.
Because in her world, anything is possible.
And in ours—we believe it too.
