Started 2026 the Chill Out way โœจ

From 198x seniors to fresh grads and current EEE students, it was a cosy night filled with good vibes, real conversations, and plenty of laughter.

๐ŸŸจ Ice-breaker bingo = instant connections
๐Ÿป Familiar faces + new ones
๐Ÿ“ Location matters (but yโ€™all still came ๐Ÿ˜†)

Some joined because their office was next door.
Some said โ€œonly if Jurongโ€โ€ฆ and still turned up.
Thatโ€™s the magic of a good Chill Out.

Definitely more to come ๐Ÿคญ
Thanks everyone for making it such a warm night.

Here are some snip shots of the very first AI fireside chat that was held in conjunction with EEEAA AGM last Saturday

"AI is like a magnifying glass: it will magnify your strengths or your weaknesses. If you're lazy, AI makes you lazier. If you're hardworking, it helps you do even more." - Ian Tan

"The current pedagogy, current way of teaching is no longer valid in the age of AI. We need to shift as quickly as possible in this whole space about brain-based learning." - Prof. Er Meng Hwa

Many companies lack the ability to break down business processes, a prerequisite for deploying AI agents. "You need to be able to articulate a business process." - Boon Kgim

"Vibe coding sounds very impressive but do you think that is really feasible in resolving all the problems in the enterprise? The answer is unfortunately no."- Zhang Le

The panellists delved into the analysis of AI from various perspectives, including education, enterprise, and work productivity. Their insightful reflections made us ponder the significance of domain knowledge, especially when determining the correctness of AI-generated answers. In this era, developing active learning skills is invaluable, and AI can serve as a valuable assistant on our learning journey.

Thank you, panellists, for providing us with valuable advice on how to better prepare ourselves for the age of AI.
