Stepping out of the classroom and into the outdoors 🌿⛺
Our Primary 5 students took on new experiences at camp , from pitching tents and cooking simple meals to conquering challenging high-element activities. Through every task, they learned the value of teamwork, resilience, and encouraging one another.
Guided by their instructors, students also explored nature and picked up valuable life skills that will stay with them beyond the classroom.

As part of their Applied Learning Programme, the P3s dove into the 3Rs of environmental sustainability — exploring how the little things we do every day can make a big difference to our planet earth.
Students went on a learning journey to Virogreen, an e-recycling facility, where they got an up-close look at waste management and what sustainable practices really look like in action. Working in teams, they also put their thinking caps on to design practical products made entirely from recycled materials — proving that one person's trash really can be another person's treasure!
We're proud of these young eco-warriors for showing us that sustainability can be fun, creative, and meaningful.

Using Microbits, they created a prototype to address the problem of food waste. Students also visited Jurong West Hawker Centre to learn about hawker culture. Beyond the sustainability focus, they experienced archery and went on a neighbourhood walk to develop a deeper appreciation of their surroundings.

At West Grove Primary School, fostering a love for reading is central to helping our students connect literacy with overall learning. 📚✨
We strengthen this bridge through meaningful and engaging experiences — from Assembly Reading sessions and scheduled library visits with thematic book displays, to lively storytelling by our Vice Principal and Parent Support Group. Students also enjoy special storytelling segments during Assembly and exciting book signing moments with the author.
Through these shared experiences, we nurture curious minds and gracious hearts — one story at a time. 💛
