Happy Father’s Day! 🌟
We have just concluded our Student Exchange Programme (SEP) with Mahidol Wittayanusorn School (MWIT)! 🇹🇭 And what a week it has been!
We will definitely miss riding elephants, learning the Thai cultural dance, and exploring STEM subjects alongside our MWIT buddies. We can’t wait to visit them again next year!! 🐘🧪
Have you participated in our SEP before?

Congratulations once again to Ian Lee and Ying Liqian for the awesome work in your research projects, and representing Singapore at the world stage! Experiment, Explore, Excel 🌟
Ian and Liqian have returned from the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (Regeneron ISEF)! Congratulations to both and we are delighted that Liqian has won the 3rd Grand Award for the Mathematics category and a Honourable Mention from the American Mathematical Society. 🎉
At NUS High, all students complete at least one Advanced Research Project before graduating - with some students finishing up to 8 in a year! Whether students choose to submit their research to science fairs or not, they will be supported by a dedicated teacher mentor and an encouraging community the entire way. Let's hear about Ian and Liqian's experiences doing research projects at NUS High! 🧪
Come down to our Open House happening right now! 16th May, till 3pm 🌟

Congratulations to our students for emerging champions of the 30th NUS Geography Challenge, organised by the National University of Singapore Department of Geography!🎊
The final round, held on 28 March, brought together close to 500 students from over 120 schools across Singapore to tackle this year’s theme, “City For Tomorrow: Shaping Our Liveable Future.”
Representing NUS High School were Linda Tang (M26405) , Ng Kai Yi (M26406), Parin Sharma (M26405) and Asher Lo (M26406), who demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, collaboration and geographical inquiry as they explored real-world issues surrounding urban liveability, sustainability, inclusivity and the future of cities. 🏙
While our students pursue their passions in Mathematics and Science, we are delighted to see that our curriculum and programmes also enable them to excel across diverse disciplines. At NUS High, learning extends far beyond the classroom, empowering students to apply knowledge meaningfully, address authentic global challenges, and reimagine the future through curiosity and collaboration.🌟
🎬 New Series!
What is it like to experience NUS High as a family?👨👩👧👦
We follow siblings Gun Rui, Hoon Rui and their mom, Cassia as they share their unique student and parent journeys through NUS High.
Hear their perspectives as they reflect on the NUSHS community, and the experiences that continue to shape them and make learning meaningful at NUS High.✨️
Catch them at our Open House happening this Saturday, 16th May, 9am - 3pm! 🙌🏼

From idea to launch🚀
At NUS High, physics & engineering goes far beyond theory. Our year 4 advanced physics curriculum challenges students to apply concepts to solve real-world problems through hands-on innovation.
One of the projects undertaken in this course is the Projectile Launcher Project, where students go through the full engineering design process — from ideation and sketching🗒, to sourcing materials, woodwork🪵, prototyping and assembly🔧. Through rounds of troubleshooting, testing and refinement, students learn that to build something that works well, they need perseverance, problem-solving skills and continuous improvement. The entire project took place in term 1, over 3 weeks.
Through experiences like these, students gain valuable exposure to authentic engineering practices while developing the confidence to turn ideas into reality.✨️
