[DSO] (startyouyoung) Inspire Me, Start Early is excited to read this post from DSO National Laboratories, the commercial entity affiliated to DSTA. Inspire Me, Start Early is a 6-hour STEM program designed, developed and delivered by TeamTBSS as part of the CSR. The program has been attended by some 100 upper primary school pupils since 2016 in 2017 to 2019 (before COVID).

TBSS believes that one should be inspired at young age, and aims that some of pupils can be inspired to becoming an Engineer, a Scientist, a Mathematician or a Technologist. Uur colleague LEE Kar Heng was an inspired child, he wanted to be an engineer since he was a young pupil.

DSO program is a perfect program, we hope some of our pupils can embark on this program when they grow up.....

[Integrated STEM Education Conference 2021] We are glad to have uploaded our presentation video and slide onto the conference page. To share "Inspire Me, Start Early" STEM program with international educators is an honor to our effort. We will continue to run the program and outreach to other schools, on 100% complimentary.

If you are keen to train your kids, TBSS will be glad to conduct program on complimentary, except the experimental kit (your kid will bring home the kit) and venue fee. It will cost about SGD100.00 per kid for the 6-hour complementary Inspire Me Start Early program.

[Complimentary Class] We have been requested by HPPS to conduct another Inspire Me, Start Early class.

The IMSE class is a 6-hour complimentary program TBSS initiated with the support of IEEE Education Chapter and AOC Singapore Chapter.

We do not conduct any other classes to extend the IMSE program, our objective of doing this is to inspire some pupils to take up STEM as a career.

This round, the program will be conducted in 2 sessions of 3 hours, starting from tomorrow.

[Certificate] Inspire Me, Start Early has received international recognition. The sharing at the conference attracted many compliments and questions on the details.

One reason why we are successful is “we designed, developed and delivered it with passion.” We are also happy about others following us despite that they are doing it with commercial interest. It just shows that we are right at targeting primary school pupils in terms of getting them into STEM careers.

[International Speaking] International Conference on Future of Education. Singapore is only represented by TBSS... we are honoured.

There are more than 200 participants from all continents, they are from largely universities and schools. I feel humbled but this does not mean I do not feel on par with the rest. After all, I had taught more than 10 years with various universities such as UNISIM, University of Newcastle, Edith Cowan University, University of Southern Queensland, RMIT, Northumbria University... and not forgetting Temasek Poly and ITE. I am a certified Teacher in Higher Education and also a certified SAF instructor.

Here, I will share the “Inspire Me, Start Early” Initiative which TBSS has designed and developed, and delivered to the pupils of Henry Park Primary School. It is part of our CSR, we hope more pupils can take up STEM as a career.
