Yesterday evening at the British Museum learning how to make Ribbon leis. They are commonly used in Hawaii and the Pacific islands, made by braiding or weaving satin ribbons. Worn at ceremonies, particularly graduations and given as gifts, they are a longer lasting alternative to flower leis. They symbolise love and 'aloha'.

Wherever I am of course I have to find the haberdashery shops. So here I am at Le chat qui tricote in Aix en Provence and La Droguerie in Marseille where you can buy their organic yarn by weight.
