𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝…

I used to believe that if I prayed, things would change.
That being close to God meant seeing answers.

But this time… it didn’t happen.

And I realised -
maybe my faith was built more on outcomes than I knew.

If God answered, I felt seen.
If things worked out, I felt secure.

But when the answer didn’t come…
something in me broke.

Not just my expectation; it’s my identity.

Who am I,
if the prayers I believed in don’t turn out the way I hoped?

And in this quiet breaking, I’m learning:

𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐠𝐨.
The part of me that wants things to happen my way.

𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥.
The courage to love, to pray, to show up, without holding the outcome in my hands.

Maybe faith is not:
“𝐺𝑜𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑑𝑜 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼 𝑎𝑠𝑘．”

Maybe faith is:
“𝐼 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡, 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝐻𝑒 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠𝑛’𝑡．”

I’m not losing my faith.
I’m losing my need to control how faith should work.

And maybe…
this is where a deeper faith begins.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲?

A fulfilling life?
Financial stability?
Success? Recognition?
Making a difference? Leaving a legacy?

All of these are good things.
But if we’re honest…
they often describe what we want.

That’s why on this book cover,
I deliberately crossed out “want”
and replaced it with “𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲.”

Because our life purpose is bigger than
what we strive for or achieve.

It’s about discovering the life
we were meant to live -
one shaped by identity, presence, and calling.
