Welcome to Amelie and Bea Norton who had their first lesson with Sunny Days Swim School today. Both did extremely well today learning piano finger kicking, pizza arms and paint the sky arms. Fantastic work and see you next week!

This is Archie Brownlow - he has been having private lessons for three weeks. He is a very strong and competent swimmer but we are working on developing his strokes. He is clearly a natural breaststroker and is beginning to work on his freestyle. Today we also managed excellent butterfly legs! Welcome to Archie and great work today!

It was chilly in the pool this morning with the little ones, but we still had lots of fun! (Think Alec was on his way out!!!, and Bea already in her towel!) Thanks to all the Mummies ... Branka, Lisa, Bonnie and Mayra for making the effort for their children. Great work and everyone is improving so much! Isla was a star today!

Excellent Work!!! Well done to the 3.30 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. classes today at Brookvale (Ella/Luca Goldie, Jack and Tilly Hermon, Charlie Thistlethwaite, Jimmy Laing and Harry Brownlow) (and the Mums - Jo, Kate, and Jules) - we all swam in torrential rain but we managed it and the kids had so much fun! But have to say - we did exit the pool mighty quick when the lightening came!

Warning : Please get out of any pool IMMEDIATELY any lightening is seen (far or close). It is extremely dangerous and cannot be ignored.

Great work children ... very proud of you ... absolutely NO MOANING TODAY!!!

Firstly, thanks to everyone for all their patience and support through the rain and bad weather! You have all been so understanding and encouraging to the children. The children have still developed so much over the last term and some of the little ones have achieved great results. Nearly all of the babies/toddlers are swimming unaided, even if it’s just from me to Mum - well done! So …

Most Improved Swimmers of the Term:
Eden Wallace

Eden’s swimming has suddenly just taken off (her Mum thinks due to peer pressure during a recent holiday) but she is now swimming unaided and starting to work on her pizza arms and paint the sky arms. Eden is 2 years old and a strong swimmer and has swam consistently since she was less than a year! Fantastic work Eden!

McKenzie Ewan

McKenzie is an amazing swimmer and proved herself especially during Stamina week. She is just 7 years old and she swam 1km using a variety of strokes. She has a great position in the water and tries exceptionally hard in class. She has improved so much over the last term and is swimming with other swimmers aged 8 and 10. I love teaching McKenzie and I love her attitude – a pleasure to teach. Keep it up McKenzie.

Best Swimmer of the Term
Emma Nguyen

Emma is an extremely talented young lady. She has already competed in her first triathlon race and she swims anything between 750m – 1km each week. Each of her 4 strokes are at competitive level and also are her IM race times. I am sure she could qualify to train in any swim team. Great work Emma – the hard work is really paying off!

Best Class of the Term

Ruby Crossland/Lily Hulbert/Ella Goldie (3 p.m. Monday afternoons)

These young ladies are an excellent th*****me. They train hard each week, listening and taking on board instruction. Their ages range from 4 to 6 and have already mastered side breathing in freestyle, basic breaststroke, basic backstroke and butterfly legs. They are strong swimmers and easily swim 400/500m each session. Well done girls, please keep it up!

Finally ….
