Thank you to all our alumni who joined us for the NBS Badminton Competition on 15 August 2026!

It was wonderful to see alumni from different programmes, graduating years, and nationalities come together on the court, enjoying friendly competition, great sportsmanship, expanding their networks, making new friends and strengthening connections across the NBS community.

We hope you had a fantastic time, and a big congratulations to all our winners! Thank you to everyone who brought such great energy and spirit to the event.

On 1 Aug, our alumni joined the "Walk for Good" around The Anchor at Marine Parade, gaining a closer look at how organisations come together to support communities on the ground.

The 450-metre underground community corridor connects social service agencies, charities and local businesses, offering a unique opportunity to see how different organisations collaborate to strengthen the community.

During the walk, we visited 𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗖𝗛 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗨𝘀, 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼, 𝗙𝗲𝗶 𝗬𝘂𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻, 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁, 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠. 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆'𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, where staff shared more about the communities they serve and the challenges they address. The visits gave our alumni a deeper appreciation of the people behind these services and the role partnerships play in building a more inclusive society.

The journey continued through the heritage streets of Joo Chiat, where we explored the stories that have shaped one of Singapore's most vibrant neighbourhoods. We wrapped up the day with lunch at Mrs Kwan's, supporting a local business while continuing conversations sparked by the morning's experiences.

It was a meaningful day of learning, connection and community, reminding us that doing good begins with understanding, and that every step can bring us closer to making a difference.

On 31 July, Nanyang Business School proudly hosted the NTU Gobi 21 Launch & Send-off Ceremony, bringing together alumni, entrepreneurs and business leaders from Singapore, China and across the region. A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Distinguished Guest Speakers at NTU Convocation 2026. Our Convocation ceremonies were made even more memorable by the presence of five exceptional alumni who returned to campus to inspire the Class of 2026.

Mr Ong Wei Han (NTU B.ACC) introduced the powerful idea of building a "Confidence Bank Account", making deposits through every new skill acquired and every setback overcome, reminding graduates that resilience is built one experience at a time.

Mr Liew Nam Soon (NTU B.Eng) shared insights on navigating non-linear careers and leveraging agentic AI to multiply, not replace, our capabilities. He encouraged graduates to embrace curiosity as a survival skill, alongside empathy and unwavering ethics.

Dr Koh Hau Tek (Nanyang EMBA) drew on his journey across the military, clinical medicine and corporate leadership to encourage graduates to embrace leaps of faith, invest in meaningful relationships and lead with kindness, trust and purpose.

Mr Lim Him Chuan (NTU B.ACC) introduced the "TOP" formula (Trust, Ownership and Purpose) for building an authentic personal brand. He also reminded graduates of 饮水思源 – to remember our roots and honour those who have supported them.

Mr Ho Kuen Loon (NTU B.ACC) shared his remarkable journey from hawker roots to Harvard and healthcare leadership, reminding graduates that growth rarely happens within our comfort zones and that setbacks are opportunities to learn, persevere and grow.
