🍧 From Singapore’s food heritage to a sweet bowl of Ice Kachang!

What better way to explore our “Food” curriculum theme than by taking learning beyond the classroom?

Our N2 to K2 children from The Orange Academy @ Yishun went on an exciting field trip to J.I.A.K 99, where they stepped into Singapore’s vibrant food heritage and discovered how our food culture has evolved — from the bustling street markets and traditional shophouses of the past to the colourful hawker centres we know and love today. 🏮🍜

But the highlight? Making their very own Ice Kachang! 🍧🌈

With colourful ingredients, plenty of curiosity and lots of happy faces, our little chefs got to create a classic Singaporean treat — the perfect way to cool down on a hot day! ☀️

At The Orange Academy, we were delighted to welcome the experienced educators from Tien Hsia Language School (天下语文学校) for an insightful Primary 1 Preparation Talk specially organised for our K1 and K2 parents.

The session gave parents a valuable understanding of the Primary 1 Chinese syllabus, what children can expect in primary school, and practical ways to support Chinese language learning at home. Together, we're building a strong foundation so every child can make a smooth and confident transition to Primary 1.

Our Nursery 1 children kicked off the new school term with their first Chinese Enrichment lesson by Tien Hsia (天下) !

Through play, interaction, songs, and creative activities, the programme makes learning Mandarin fun and engaging, helping our little learners build confidence while developing a love for the language.
