🌱✨ Learning Beyond the Classroom ✨🌱

Our children embarked on a meaningful learning journey to City Sprout, where they explored the farm through close observation of fruits, herbs, plants and farm animals. Guided by a friendly facilitator, the children gained first-hand exposure to nature and sustainable farming practices.

The experience was enriched through a hands-on planting activity, where children actively planted and cared for plants, nurturing curiosity, responsibility and a deeper appreciation for the environment.

Ace @ Work Childcare Pte Ltd (Cashew Heights) was honoured to showcase our Green Activities at the Mayor’s Network on 17 November 2025. At our marketplace booth, we shared our Green Learning Corner, where sustainability is woven into our core curriculum and brought to life through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Our children were involved in every stage — exploring materials, creating, experimenting, and reflecting — nurturing confidence, care for the environment, and responsible habits.

👗 Conscious Fashion
• Re:Style SG60 Fashion Contest outfits inspired by children’s ideas
• Feely Books & Puppets made from snack scraps and old clothes to support sensory exploration and self-regulation
• Bag Making and Bottle Holders using reused materials, learning about reuse and purposeful creation

🍃 Food Sustainability
• Exploring natural food dye-making using celery, onion skin, and carrots
• Children’s artwork using natural dyes — bouquet wraps, cards, decorations, and bookmarks

It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with fellow educators and share how sustainability is an integral part of our everyday learning, guided by children’s curiosity and creativity. 💚

☀️👣 Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our students from Bukit Batok, Jelapang 501 and Maris Stella High School (Primary) enjoyed a meaningful day of exploration, discovery and shared experiences beyond the classroom.

Students from Bukit Batok and Jelapang 501 took part in a nature walk at Fort Canning Park and enjoyed outdoor sandy play at Jurong Central Park, alongside hands-on learning at Singapore’s Children’s Museum.

Students from Maris Stella High School (Primary) joined the experience at Singapore’s Children’s Museum, before coming together with everyone for lunch and the rest of the day’s activities.

A key highlight for all students was the visit to Qian Hu Fish Farm 🐠🌧️
Rain or shine, students experienced longkang fishing and a unique fish spa, learning about aquatic life while building resilience, patience and confidence.

💖🌟 Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Finale Celebration @ Ace @ Work (Cashew Heights)! 🌟💖

On Thursday, 16 October 2025, our children, parents and educators came together to celebrate the grand finale of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) journey, themed “Shaping the Future Through Acts of Kindness.” 🌈

Together, we reflected on a year filled with meaningful acts of kindness, towards our families, friends, the environment and the wider community. Everyone enjoyed a touching video montage that captured these heartfelt moments both in school and at home, reminding us that every small act can make a big difference. 💕

To celebrate togetherness, our educators, children and parents joined hands for the “Step by Step” dance, moving in rhythm to the spirit of kindness and unity that defines our SSDB journey. 💃🕺

We also took this opportunity to recognise the incredible support of our Parent Volunteers, who have given their time and heart throughout the year. Our Principal proudly presented them with Certificates of Appreciation as a token of gratitude for their partnership. 🎖️

A special highlight of the day was the presentation of the “Our Wonderful Parents” Award to Xin Yun’s and Shan Yun’s parents, who received a Plaque of Appreciation for their exceptional collaboration with our educators and centre. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💐

The ‘Our Wonderful Parents’ initiative, organised by Preschool Market (PSM) and supported by ECDA and the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM), celebrates families who exemplify trust, respect, empathy, and altruism — values that strengthen the bond between home and preschool, helping children and our community flourish. 🌻
