BLSS St John was established on 14th September 1979, with only 30 members. The current strength in 2015 is 61 (including officers, teacher-officers and senior volunteer NCOs). Today in history
On 7 August 1999, BLSJ (as it is known now) held its first ever major anniversary celebration. 1999 was the 20th Anniversary of the Corps (established in 1979). The parade was graced by the then Deputy Chief Surgeon, Dr Chen Sze Hua. The celebrations included a parade, prize presentation and farewell party for the graduating students back then.

Teachers, officers and students back then, tag yourself to reminisce the once a grand event that the corps had ever seen.

CONGRATULATIONS
We wish to extend our congratulations to Mrs Sabitha Nasser on being conferred Member of the Order of St John (MStJ)

Mrs Nasser joined BLSJ in 1999 as a teacher-in-charge. In 2000, she was appointed Teacher-Officer after completing the Teacher Officer Course.

Mrs Nasser has been a caring yet firm teacher-officer in the corps. Holding the rank of Corps Superintendent Grade 3 rank, she continues to mentor the officers and students.

"...I know Mrs Nasser since 1999 since she joined BLSJ. Till now, we still keep in touch. Mrs Nasser has been a mentor and encourager to me all these while. The conferred title of MStJ is a recognition of her role all these years. Congratulations Cher!..."
