The essential page that gives out tips for Singapore O level Social Studies students to excel in Soc

Hi there, I am an experienced ex-MOE social studies tutor and have setup this page to share useful resources to help Singapore O level Social Studies students to score in their O levels! Many students feel doing well in Social Studies requires a strong command of English and lots of memorisation, but nothing is further from the truth! 70% of the marks (35/50 marks) is allocated to the SBQ section.

Students have just gotten back their recent weighted assessment results. Regardless of the results, there is still a good chance of scoring an A for O levels Social Studies. highlighting 3 students who joined me a while ago. They were getting C and Ds for their social studies, but with consistent practice and understanding the proper writing structure, they managed to improve for their recent tests, which give them a tremendous confidence booster, job well-done!

Hey Students, do you find it hard to score the highest level (LORM) for reliability/usefulness questions? Not sure how to expand your answer in the higher analysis level or why do you have to write out the purpose of the author to explain why he/she might be biased and thus unreliable? Here is a little clip that might help you to achieve the full marks for such questions!

Our O level students have gotten back their results a few days ago. We are really thankful for the numerous students who have gotten their desired results which are a testimony to the efforts they had put in. Regardless of the results, the world is now your oyster, go out there, have a great adventure in 2025 and the years ahead!

There is one particular student who we are really grateful to have a chance to work with him 1 month before his O level SS. The improvement he gained from F9 to B3 and seeing him regaining back the interest and confidence in humanities really warms our hearts!
