Calling out to all Singaporeans aged 50 years and above!
Always been charmed by the mystery and beauty of Classical Chinese Poetry but not sure where to start? The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the National Silver Academy, cordially invites you to attend "The Art of Classical Chinese Poetry", a course which will transport you across space and time as we explore the genres of classical Chinese poetry and dive into the masterpieces written by great poets across different dynasties, including Li Bai, Du Fu, Tao Qian, Wang Wei, Su Shi, and Li Qingzhao.
As we explore the various characteristics of the poems and examine the genres and themes across time, find yourself mesmerised by the tonal and metrical patterns of regulated verse and lyrics; and enjoy the panoramic view of the evolution of Chinese poetic forms from its beginnings to the heydays of the Tang-Song period.
