Stories, community, and meaningful moments came together at the captivating storytelling session by Mr Quek Hong Shin featuring The Marvellous Sugee Cake. 📚✨

As Mr Hong Shin brought the story to life, the children were fascinated by a simple yet magical science demonstration using the blue pea butterfly flower from the book. Watching the water change colour before their eyes filled the room with wonder and excitement!

The learning continued with an interactive Q&A session, where our teachers gained insights into Mr Hong Shin’s creative journey — from writing stories and illustrating characters to finding inspiration in places close to his heart, such as Toa Payoh.

Moments like these help nurture a love for reading while encouraging children to ask questions, think creatively, and see the world through new perspectives.

Together with over 1,300 children, parents and educators from all 14 Little Skool-House centres, we were proud to join the National Family Festival 2026 exclusive preview organised by Families for Life (FFL), where Guest of Honour, Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State for Home Affairs and Social and Family Development, joined families in celebrating the importance of strong family bonds. ✨

We believe that children thrive when schools and families work hand in hand. Watching our children and their loved ones learn, play and explore together throughout the afternoon was a wonderful reminder of the power of these shared experiences.

Together with the wider NTUC First Campus community, our educators came together to exchange ideas and experiences, gaining new perspectives to better support every child’s learning journey.

With the launch of the Inclusion Toolkit by NTUC First Campus, officiated by Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State for Social and Family Development, our educators are now better equipped to build more inclusive classrooms at Changemakers Explorer — where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to learn in their own way.
