Job Responsibilities:
• Carry out accurate and timely analysis/test as required by the customers.
• Compliance to SGS QHSE rules and regulations / statutory requirements
• Support and assist the laboratory operations. Coordinate activities of the section in the absence of the team leader.
• Act as Team Leader, Trainer, Operation Coordinator where assigned
• Carry out tests in accordance to the given standard methods.
• Represent the Laboratory as witness at third party and refinery laboratory.
• Standardize reagent/equipment, prepare titration solvent and test solutions when necessary.
• Assist in the practical training of new Analyst where assigned.
• Upkeep the cleanliness of work areas, apparatus and equipments in the laboratory.
• Maintain good housekeeping by cleaning up after each test.
• Review, question and repeat results if suspicious results are encountered.
• Must be able to work shift and overtime when required.
• Perform any tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform analysis at site laboratories or at field assignments.
Job Requirements:
• Diploma in related field
• 1 year relevant working experience in a Chemical laboratory
• Positive working attitude.
• Team player and hard working
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to handle Pressure
• Basic Math and Chemistry skills.
• Familiar with handling practice of chemicals/solution/reagents
• Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity
• Working Location : Jurong Island

Hey there!

There will be an upcoming CIP event to bring elderlies to Gardens By the Bay for a small tour (Primarily the 2 Domes). Each individual will be paired to one elderly and would help them around and also accompany them for a lunch. It will start at 10am and end at approximately 2.30pm. The organizing committee would like to express our gratitude to all those who have participated actively during the Combined Sports Meet 2014 last Saturday, 19th July 2014!

It was indeed an enjoyable and fun sports meet for us! :)
Hopefully all of you had fun competing in the friendly match and bonded with other course mates :D

Also, this big event would not have been a success without the joint collaboration of our other 2 CLS course chapter - DACM and DPCS!

A combined sport meet held on 19th July 2014 in SP, jointly organised by 3 CLS course chapter - DACP,DACM,DPCS.
There were 3 different sports- Badminton(Singles/ Doubles), Captain's Ball and Frisbee.
