hey guys!!! we are ann and clara, the dance capts for AY26/27! as we see blast as the best place to break boundaries, we will be focusing on creativity this year in the form of self-expression, exploration, and honing our own creative direction in dance. we are so excited to train alongside you!!! yay!!!!! (we are very fun)

Introducing the person who leads with creativity and fluidity, with the sole goal of breaking boundaries… Ahmad Kamil Ahmad Kamil, our Principal Tutor! 🫰🏼👑

Kamil is a distinguished Singaporean art maker, choreographer, and director whose work continues to shape the local dance landscape. Globally, he is a member of the Project Home collective.

He is also the founder of saya. (saya. )—a movement collective, education platform, and performance company dedicated to embedding street dance into sophisticated, innovative, yet relatable works.

Built on the belief that personal clarity strengthens community, saya. creates intentional spaces for dancers to explore their identities through movement, reflection, and growth.

Under Kamil’s guidance, Blast! members undergo rigorous, versatile training designed to push creative boundaries. He champions alternative choreographic processes that elevate individuality, empowering every dancer in Blast! to discover their unique artistic voice.

we are dash & ananisa, b!’s very own pubfairies 🧚🏼✨bringing magic to all blast! related media, design and engagement! our not-so-fun-fact is for this photoshoot.. we got stranded at kranji marshes.. LOL We’re excited to create designs and merch that are a feast 🧁🍡🍮 to the eyes ~

hello everybadi!! i’m ulfah, 26th’s head of welfare and ce 🌸😋 ya can count on me for all things food, fuel and faiyah volunteering points!! 🫡😆🍔🍿🧁🍩🫂🤗 a not-so-fun-fact bout me is that i love almond pepero so much that i once found 3 empty boxes in my bag from the previous week’s consumption…

SIFA: WRAPPED 🌀

Thank you to everyone who supported our restaging of Blast! Out of Bounds: Arus at Singapore International Festival of Arts () on 23rd & 24th May.

✨ BLAST! OUT OF BOUNDS: ARUS at ✨

We are proud to announce for this weekend only, 32 dancers from NUS Dance Blast! will be performing 𝘼𝙧𝙪𝙨, presented as part of the 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 (𝙎𝙄𝙁𝘼). Now reimagined for SIFA’s Festival Village at Empress Lawn, this encore presentation revisits and reshapes the work for a new outdoor setting in the heart of the city.

Directed by Kamil and choreographed by Blast! Members, 𝘼𝙧𝙪𝙨 draws inspiration from the stories of the Orang Laut, the indigenous, traditionally nomadic and seafaring inhabitants of the islands surrounding Singapore. Through movement and interactions with their surroundings, the work reflects on the histories and cultural legacies that continue to shape Singapore’s rich and layered identity.
