Selamat Idul Adha bagi teman-teman yang merayakannya!

Lebaran Idul Adha apabila dituliskan dalam aksara Arab adalah ”عيد الأضحى”, diadaptasi dari kata ‘Id’ atau ‘aada (yauudu)’ yang artinya ‘kembali’, dan kata ‘Adha’ yakni bentuk jamak dari ‘adhat’ yang berasal dari kata ‘udhiyah’ yang artinya ‘kurban’.

Secara bahasa, Idul Adha dapat diartikan sebagai ‘kembali berkurban’ atau hari raya penyembelihan hewan kurban. Kata أضحى (aḍḥā) dan قربان (qurbān) mempunyai sinonim makna ‘kurban’ (pengorbanan hewan), ‘persembahan’ atau ‘persembahan’.

Adapun istilah Qurban diserap dari bahasa Arab qaraba-yaqrabu-qurbanan yang artinya mendekatkan diri. Merujuk dari arti tersebut, Idul Adha atau Hari Raya Kurban dapat dijadikan momen untuk semakin mendekatkan diri kepada Allah swt.
