🇸🇬🧱 Maths in Motion: Building Singapore with Lego blocks! 🧮✨

Charisians brought Singapore to life using Lego blocks! Each child designed a building based on assigned floor and ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd and more), learning number sequence through fun, hands-on construction.

The excitement continued as they expanded their city with familiar landmarks such as a school, library, airport, shopping mall, hotel and port. Our younger children added cars, people and different modes of transport, making the city even more vibrant.

Through this engaging activity, the children strengthened their number sense, creativity, fine motor skills and social collaboration — all while having lots of fun! 🌟

What a bright and joyful Deepavali celebration it was! 🌸✨ Dressed in colourful ethnic clothes, our little Charisians were all smiles as they celebrated the Festival of Lights! They learned about lighting diyas, sharing sweets, and spreading joy everywhere they go. Everyone sang and danced to the lively “Happy Diwali” song — the room was filled with laughter, music, and festive cheer! The children also worked together to create a beautiful flower Rangoli, bursting with colours of love, light, and unity. And of course, no celebration is complete without some yummy idlis! 🥰

Character Building in Charis Montessori

Through role-play and class discussions, Charisians learned how small acts—like giving space, speaking nicely, and showing empathy towards others—can make a big difference in creating a happy and caring environment in school. They also shared their own experiences of being kind and respectful, and reflected on how it feels when others treat them the same way. It was heartening to see them put these values into practice during playtime and teamwork activities. When we choose what is right, we grow in God’s love—becoming thoughtful, loving, and kind.

Bird Feeders Magic!

Charisians' creative bird feeders worked like magic—Hornbills and other feathered friends swooped in for a visit. What an exciting reward for their efforts!

🌿✨ Picnic in the Garden ✨🌿

Charisians had a joyful time exploring and appreciating God’s wonderful creation during their garden picnic! They spent an exciting morning spotting butterflies, parrots, and hornbills at their specially designed bird feeders, observing clouds, listening to the sounds of nature, marvelling at mushrooms and touch-me-nots, and witnessing the harvest of mulberries and white bitter melons. Every moment was filled with curiosity and delight.

Sharing snacks with friends, laughter, and even cuddling their favourite soft toys made the day extra special. This garden picnic experience not only fostered their observation skills; they learned to interact with peers, build friendships, articulate their thoughts and also deepened their love and appreciation for the natural world around them. 🌸🌳☁️✨
