We recently did a 1996 Bordeaux blind tasting featuring 1996 Carruades de Lafite, a remarkable expression of Pauillac with nearly three decades of bottle age. The tasting offered a fascinating glimpse into the evolution, complexity and elegance that time can bring to a great Bordeaux.

From its refined fruit and cedar notes to its silky texture and lingering finish, this was a beautiful reminder of why mature Bordeaux continues to captivate w**e lovers.
