Hula hooping teaches children how to purposefuly wriggle their hips, separate their two sides, gain range of motion in all their big joints, and have some fun at the same time.

During Outdoor Learning Experiences, K2 children were in the nearby park with plants, shrubs and trees. Children explored elements of art through nature and discussed their findings. They talked about the leaves, trunks and aerial roots hanging downward from the trees. They discovered more about living and non-living leaves (fallen/dried), the similarities and differences on simple and compound leaves. This activity helps children become more motivated and self-directed to explore the open space using their senses as they learn about nature by sliding on the base of the tree trunk.

Food experiences: wow! Friends of N2 asked strawberry or blueberries - which fruit would you ❤️ to taste? Children used all their five senses to make observations and gather information to gain greater understanding about their surroundings. Through this experiential learning, the children created their song on strawberry.
Here it goes: Pick a strawberry, Pick a strawberry, And eat it, and eat it. It taste sweet/sour!

When one meets another, they greet each other by shaking hands and giving a smile. Children in the playgroup are being taught good manners and habits.
