How to transform your abs in 17 minutes…

With a big meal, or in my case, a burrito bowl.

That's right, don't get fooled by social media.

There aint shortcuts or hacks to getting visible abs quickly.

This was right after my workout and had a Burrito Bowl from Guzman y Gomez, with extra portion of meat and brown rice(got this free haha), close to 1000 calories, over 13g of Fibre, over 60g of protein, 28g fat, and 79g carbohydrates.

While you could still see my Abs, it looked bloated and less defined.

Just like how you can get a good pump and make your muscles more defined, you can also create the appearance that you’ve lost your abs and gained a tummy or lots of weight in a short-span.

Good news for the latter is that this effect will only be temporary,

So go ahead and enjoy yourself at parties and gatherings.

One big meal once in a while won't take away all your hard work, unless you end up being in a caloric surplus in the long-term and stop working out. Then yeah, won’t be able to help you there, buddy.

*Caloric surplus is when you consume more calories than you burn, which leads to weight gain.

Lastly, If you're trying to lose weight or become leaner, don't look or stare at your tummy in the mirror after a big meal or food that causes bloating, especially if seeing a bloated tummy would discourage you in your fitness, weight-loss journey

No such thing buddy.

You're either gonna have a:

😟A less enjoyable, or even miserable, Christmas holiday restraining yourself while you witness others indulge so joyfully in them delicious delights.

OR

🥳🍪 A wonderful, fulfilling time savoring your favourite festive food and snacks and likely gain some weight…

Weight that's going to be mostly water retention, especially if you had em food high in carbohydrates and sodium.

😃Weight you'd easily lose once you get back on track with your fitness and nutrition.

Your progress won't vanish from a few festive days of extra indulgence!

So instead of worrying about gaining weight, here's how you can enjoy a peaceful, joyful Christmas holiday:

1️⃣ Stop counting calories—just cherish the moments with the company of your loved ones and your favorite treats guilt-free!
🥳🍪

2️⃣ Slow down, savor each and every bite of those delicious high-calorie delights

3️⃣ For longer breaks >1 or 2 weeks, aim for protein, fruits, veggies, and keep moving.
Even a quick 10-minute high-intensity workout 1x a week can help maintain muscle!

So enjoy those festive delights, cherish company, and remember:
A few days of feasting won't undo all your hard work and fitness progress!

Merry Xmas and happy holidays! May your Christmas be filled with joy and wonderful memories 🎅🎁

Your friendly neighborhood coach,
Darren
