☀️ Heat exhaustion can happen fast, but quick action can make all the difference.
If someone shows signs, stop activity, move them to a cool place, help them cool down, and offer fluids if they’re alert. Keep a close eye on them.
If symptoms don’t improve or confusion develops, call 995 immediately.

☀️ Protect your loved ones from Singapore’s heat. Some family members are more vulnerable than others.
👶 Infants & Toddlers: Keep them hydrated, limit outdoor play during peak heat, and never leave them unattended in a car.
👵 Elderly: Ensure they stay in cool, ventilated spaces and check on them regularly, as they may not feel thirsty.
💙 Those with Chronic Conditions: People with heart, kidney, or respiratory issues should limit outdoor exposure and follow their doctor’s advice.
🏃 Active Family Members: Drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after activity to prevent overheating.
🤰 Pregnant Women: Minimise heat exposure and stay well hydrated at all times.
Preventing overheating is the first and most crucial step, but knowing how to act confidently if heat exhaustion or heatstroke occurs is just as important.

🔥 Heatstroke is life-threatening. Every second counts!
If someone shows signs, call 995 immediately. While waiting for help, cool them aggressively with water and fans, apply ice packs to key areas, and place them in a safe recovery position if unresponsive.
⚠️ Never give medications or fluids to someone who is confused or unconscious.
Be prepared to act confidently and safely in emergencies like this.

💧 Is your child drinking enough water?
A quick way to check, look at their urine colour!
✅ Light yellow or straw-coloured = well hydrated.
⚠️ Dark yellow or amber = dehydrated. Offer fluids right away.
In Singapore’s heat, staying hydrated isn’t just about comfort. It helps prevent heat exhaustion and heatstroke, especially in active kids. ☀️
Remember, little ones don’t always say they’re thirsty, so keep offering drinks throughout the day! 🥤
