Creating your own story is an important part of language learning. Today's reading practice was about ゆるきゃら, YURUCHARA, or cute mascot characters! After reading the story of KUMAMON, the most popular YURUCHARA, I let my student create a Singapore mascot character. His name is ししもん SHISHIMON, the Singa-Lion! Isn't it cute? Stretch your creativity and learning Japanese will be more fun. Happy National Day, Singapore!!
自分に当てはめて応用するというのは語学の大切なプロセスの一つ。今日の読解はゆるきゃら、その一番人気を誇るくまもんの話を読んだあとに、生徒さんにシンガポールのゆるキャラを作ってもらいました。その名も、ししもん！かわいくない？シンガポールのライオンです。創造性を働かせる作業で語学がもっと楽しくなりますよ。

これは「ししモン」です。体はマーライオンみたくて、色は国旗のように赤くて白いです。手のひらは蘭という国の花があって、スカーフにガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイが書いてあります。庭園の中の市という意味を伝えたいです。そして、胸に書いてある芸術は民族平和を守り続けるべきだということです。

Most Singaporean friends prefer traveling to Japan in spring or autumn. I think, however, it's not a bad idea to visit there now, the rainy season! Because 1) It's not too hot yet 2) best time for shopping! buy cheap & good summer stuff, and 3) under cloudy sky, God has prepared colorful Ajisai flower, or hydrangea to warmly welcome us! ❣️

My friend recently opened an Okinawan restaurant "Rin". It was sooo good and authentic Okinawan taste😋I highly recommend this Okinawan restaurant, serving authentic Okinawan specialities prepared by the friendly Okinawan grandma. Saba Miso Yakisoba (fried noodle with saba fish in miso sauce) and Soki Soba (Okinawa-style noodle soup with pork spare ribs) were superb. It's open only lunch time on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
お友達が始めた相模原にある｢凛｣という沖縄料理屋さんに行ってきました。ソーキそばとか、サバ味噌焼きそばとか、サーターアンダギーという沖縄のドーナツがおいしかった！！😋🍴💕火曜日と土曜日のランチのみの営業です。
