From observing the vibrant flamingoes at Crimson Wetlands to marvelling at the playful penguins up close, our young explorers were captivated by every moment. Their excitement and curiosity made the learning experience truly special!
At the "Predators on Wings" Show, students were thrilled to meet some of nature's most magnificent birds of prey โ the majestic White-bellied Sea Eagle, the striking Brahminy Kite, and the fascinating Turkey Vultures and Harris's Hawk. They discovered how these incredible scavengers play a vital role in keeping our ecosystem balanced.
The "More Fun with Birds" workshop was equally engaging as our students explored how beaks, feathers, wings, and feet each serve unique purposes in a bird's survival. Through interactive activities, they gained a deeper understanding of how birds have adapted to thrive in different environments.
Throughout the day, our Greenwoodians demonstrated wonderful values โ showing responsibility by keeping the environment clean, displaying care through respectful observation of the animals, and strengthening friendships by looking out for one another.
Every moment of wonder, every new discovery, and every shared experience brings us closer to nurturing environmentally conscious and caring individuals who will help protect the biodiversity around us! ๐ฑโจ

What an incredible few days it has been for the Greenwood students on their Overseas Learning Journey to Hong Kong!
For some of the Greenwoodians, it was their first time overseas alone and we are proud that they all stepped up to the challenge and exhibited great confidence, adaptability, independence, and looked out for one another every step of the way. It was heartwarming to see friendships deepen, new friendships grow, and the Greenwood team coming together to learn while having fun!
Beyond the activities and experiences, students returned home with broader perspectives, meaningful reflections, and a greater appreciation for the world around them. More importantly, they created new memories and friendships that will stay with them for years to come.
We are incredibly proud of our students for embracing every moment with enthusiasm and positivity. Thank you, students, parents, and teachers, for being part of this special journey with us! ๐ซถ

Throughout Mathematics Week 2026 in Greenwood, students embarked on this yearโs โMath Questโ to discover the fun of real-world math through engaging recess activities featuring estimation, measurement, and shape challenges. The canteen transformed into a lively game zone where students bonded through board games and logic puzzles, enjoying friendly competition and teamwork.
The excitement continued online with AI-generated challenges on SLS, encouraging students to think creatively and solve problems in new ways.
Students exhibited the value of Resilience as they persevered through challenges, tried different strategies, and kept going even when the answers were not easy to find. They were also sources of encouragement for each other, helping one another to work through problems and challenges together, showing that empathy and teamwork makes the dream work!
A big thank you to our dedicated Math Committee, 20 parent volunteers, and enthusiastic Math Monitors for making this event a success. Together, they showed our students that math isnโt just a subjectโitโs an adventure waiting to be discovered! ๐๐โจ

At Greenwood Primary, Anti-Bullying Week reinforced our firm, zero-tolerance stance against bullying and hurtful behaviour, aligned with MOEโs direction. Through student skits, presentations, meaningful conversations and guided learning, teachers spoke to students about exercising wisdom to make the right choices and how to act and interact appropriately with others both online and offline situations. These important conversations continued in classrooms, where teachers and peers worked together to spread a strong message of unity in standing against bullying and hurtful behaviour.
As Leaders of Character, our students are encouraged to move beyond being bystanders and step forward as Upstandersโsupporting one another with courage and care. Anchored in self-leadership, they learn to lead their actions with wisdom and make responsible choices. Together, we build a safe and respectful environment where every voice matters. Let us continue to โSTAND Together, SAFE Togetherโ as one Greenwood family.
