Through a variety of fun and engaging gross motor activities, the ChildFirst @ Hillview N1 children had an amazing time running, jumping, crawling, and exploring through play! 🏃♀️✨
These activities help strengthen their gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and body awareness, while also encouraging focus, perseverance and the confidence to take on new challenges. As they move, play and learn together, our little ones are also developing teamwork, resilience and a lifelong love for active and healthy living. 💪🌈

本周,才儿坊(ChildFirst@Tampines)N2班的小朋友们开展了一场充满趣味与挑战的筷子操作活动。活动中,孩子们两人一组,用筷子夹起纸杯进行挑战,在合作完成任务的过程中,锻炼手眼协调能力、手部控制力及专注力。随后,孩子们进一步挑战使用单根筷子挑起纸杯并进行整理收纳,在不断尝试与调整中提升精细动作技能。
透过这类富有意义的游戏体验,幼儿不仅能够发展小肌肉能力,也在互动中学习合作、轮流与分享,培养积极的学习态度与社交能力。每一次专注的尝试,每一个认真投入的瞬间,都是孩子成长路上珍贵的足迹。我们将继续通过丰富多元的探索活动,陪伴孩子在游戏中学习,在体验中成长。
The ChildFirst @ Tampines N2 children took part in a fun and engaging paper cup activity designed to strengthen their fine motor skills.
Working in pairs, the children used chopsticks to carefully pick up and transfer paper cups, developing their hand-eye coordination, hand control, concentration, and teamwork skills as they collaborated to complete the task. To extend the challenge, they were encouraged to use just a single chopstick to lift and sort the cups, allowing them to further refine their fine motor control through hands-on exploration, repeated practice and problem-solving.
Through meaningful activities like these, children not only build essential small muscle strength and coordination, but also learn valuable social skills such as cooperation, turn-taking and sharing. Every focused effort and moment of persistence reflects an important step in their learning journey.
We look forward to provide more rich and meaningful learning experiences that encourage our children to learn through play and grow through exploration.

The ChildFirst @ Tampines K1 children had an exciting time exploring Blow Dryer Art! They began by using pipettes to carefully drip water onto their paper before adding paints and experimenting with colour mixing. Once they were happy with their creations, the children used a hair dryer to blow the paint across the paper, creating beautiful and unique patterns.
Through this fun hands-on activity, the children explored creativity, colour blending, and cause-and-effect while also strengthening their fine motor skills and coordination. 🎨💨

The ChildFirst @ Tampines PN children enjoyed a sensory-rich experience exploring scented dough made with oregano, turmeric, cinnamon, and cumin. They curiously observed the different colours and unique aromas before using their senses to touch, squeeze, roll, and shape the dough.
As they explored the various scents and textures, the children expressed their preferences through facial expressions, gestures and words. This hands-on activity nurtured their sensory awareness, fine motor skills, curiosity, and language development in a fun, engaging and meaningful way. 🍀💖

投掷与接球游戏
本周才儿坊中班(ChildFirst@Tampines K1)小朋友们通过丰富有趣的投掷与接球活动,锻炼了大肌肉发展、手眼协调、身体平衡与控制能力。孩子们先练习腋下投掷豆袋,学习调整姿势和控制力量,将豆袋投向目标;接着挑战单脚跳后向上抛接豆袋,在游戏中提升平衡感、专注力和动作协调能力;最后,小朋友们两两一组进行投掷和接球练习,练习与同伴保持适当距离、互相配合,并在互动中培养轮流等待与合作意识。孩子们在一次次尝试中不断调整和进步,勇敢挑战自己,也在欢笑中建立了自信,享受运动带来的乐趣。
The ChildFirst @ Tampines K1 children participated in a variety of fun bean bag and ball tossing activities designed to strengthen their gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, balance, and body control.
The children began by practising underhand bean bag tossing, learning how to control their movements and aim at a target. They then took on an added challenge by hopping on one foot before tossing and catching their bean bags. This helped to improve their balance, focus and coordination.
To end the session, the children paired up to practise throwing and catching balls together. Through this activity, they learnt to cooperate with their peers, take turns and encourage one another along the way.
These engaging movement activities not only kept the children active and having fun but also helped build their confidence, perseverance and teamwork skills. ✨

The ChildFirst @ Hillview K2 children explored the theme “Delicious Food” through fun and engaging activities!
They learnt about different food groups, healthy eating habits and reinforced their understanding through interactive matching and creative art activities.
Our little chefs also got hands-on as they prepared their own healthy kimbap using nutritious ingredients.
Through this enjoyable experience, the children developed their fine motor skills while learning to appreciate and be thankful for the food they eat.

Mix, Blend, Freeze! Soft Fruit Popsicles by Our Little Chefs 🍓🍌🍊
During their Little Chef programme, the ChildFirst @ Hillview PN children enjoyed a delightful hands-on experience creating their very own soft fruit popsicles!
They explored a variety of fruits through touch, sight and smell before discovering how the fruits were blended with juice to make a refreshing treat. With guidance from their teachers, they participated in simple steps such as adding ingredients and pouring the mixture into moulds, building their curiosity, confidence and independence.
This fun sensory activity supported their sensory and fine motor development while introducing healthy food choices in a fun and engaging way. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they explored the ingredients and happily tasted the popsicles they made together. 👩🍳👨🍳

🍉🍌The ChildFirst @ Hillview N2 children explored the theme of “Fruit Paradise” through a series of exciting sensory learning experiences!
The children observed, touched, smelled, and tasted different fruits such as watermelon, dragon fruit and bananas, learning about their colours, shapes and flavours while strengthening their language and sensory skills.
The children also transformed into “mini chefs” as they prepared their own banana and dragon fruit milkshakes! From cutting the fruits to observing their textures and tasting their delicious creations, the children experienced the joy of food preparation while learning to compare different flavours and textures created by various fruit combinations.
Through these fun-filled activities, the children gained meaningful life experiences, developed confidence in exploring new things, and discovered the joy of learning through hands-on exploration and sharing with friends!

The ChildFirst @ Tampines N1 children had fun revising the Letterland character Munching Mike and exploring the /m/ sound through an interactive activity. They eagerly “fed” the robot with picture cards featuring words such as mouse, mango, mask, and moon. Before feeding the robot, the children confidently practised saying the /m/ sound aloud, strengthening their phonics and sound recognition skills.
The learning continued with a hands-on art activity where the children tore and pasted coloured recycled paper onto uppercase “M” and lowercase “m” worksheets. Through this engaging experience, they strengthened their letter recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sound awareness while enjoying the process of creative learning. ✂️✨

太阳伞动起来,音乐真好玩!
在才儿坊(ChildFirst@Tampines)豆豆班的小朋友们,一起进行了有趣的音乐律动活动。孩子们围坐在彩色太阳伞旁,跟着音乐一起拉高、放低、摇一摇,感受“快”和“慢”的节奏变化。
当音乐变快时,太阳伞轻轻跳动;当音乐慢下来时,孩子们也慢慢放下小手。过程中大家认观察伞的变化,聆听音乐,配合动作,脸上充满笑容。
通过高低、快慢的律动变化,孩子们锻炼了身体协调能力,也提升了专注力与团队互动能力。在欢笑与音乐中,孩子们感受节奏、探索动作,一起享受快乐的学习时光。 🎵☀️
The ChildFirst @ Tampines PN children enjoyed an exciting music and movement activity using a colourful parachute activity. As the music played, the children worked together to lift the parachute up high, lower it gently and move it fast or slow according to the rhythm.
Through the flowing colours and changing movements, the children discovered concepts such as “high and low” and “fast and slow” in a fun and meaningful way. They listened attentively, coordinated their actions and shared many joyful moments with their friends beneath the moving parachute.
This engaging activity supported the children’s gross motor development, body coordination, listening skills, and social interaction. Through music, movement and laughter, the children experienced the joy of learning together while building confidence and teamwork. 🎵🌈
