在主题《美味的食物》探索活动中,才儿坊(ChildFirst )大班的小朋友们通过丰富的主题教学活动,走进了食物的奇妙世界。大家认识了谷物类、肉类、蔬菜水果等不同食物分类,也懂得了健康的食物搭配能让身体更强壮、更有活力。在活动手册中,孩子们认真完成分类与配对练习,巩固对营养知识的理解;在绘画环节,他们用彩笔画出自己最喜欢的饭菜,表达对美味食物的喜爱。最后,大家运用所学知识,亲手制作健康的“紫菜包饭”——选择营养的配料,按照步骤认真卷制、搭配,不仅锻炼了动手能力,也体验了从知识到实践的成就感。通过这一系列探索,孩子们加深了对均衡饮食的认识,也学会了珍惜与感恩食物。
The ChildFirst @ Hillview K2 children explored the theme “Delicious Food” through fun and engaging activities!
They learnt about different food groups, healthy eating habits and reinforced their understanding through interactive matching and creative art activities.
Our little chefs also got hands-on as they prepared their own healthy kimbap using nutritious ingredients.
Through this enjoyable experience, the children developed their fine motor skills while learning to appreciate and be thankful for the food they eat.

Mix, Blend, Freeze! Soft Fruit Popsicles by Our Little Chefs 🍓🍌🍊
During their Little Chef programme, the ChildFirst @ Hillview PN children enjoyed a delightful hands-on experience creating their very own soft fruit popsicles!
They explored a variety of fruits through touch, sight and smell before discovering how the fruits were blended with juice to make a refreshing treat. With guidance from their teachers, they participated in simple steps such as adding ingredients and pouring the mixture into moulds, building their curiosity, confidence and independence.
This fun sensory activity supported their sensory and fine motor development while introducing healthy food choices in a fun and engaging way. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they explored the ingredients and happily tasted the popsicles they made together. 👩🍳👨🍳

在才儿坊 ChildFirst @ Hillview,宝贝们围绕“水果乐园”主题展开了一系列充满趣味与感官体验的学习活动!孩子们通过观察、触摸、闻一闻和品尝,认识了西瓜、苹果、火龙果等水果的颜色、形状与味道,进一步提升语言表达与感知能力。随后,小朋友们还化身“小小料理师”,亲手制作香蕉奶昔和火龙果奶昔,在切水果、观察与品尝的过程中,体验食物制作的乐趣,并学习比较不同水果搭配带来的口感变化。活动中,孩子们不仅收获了丰富的生活经验,也在探索与分享中感受到学习的快乐!
🍉🍌The ChildFirst @ Hillview N2 children explored the theme of “Fruit Paradise” through a series of exciting sensory learning experiences!
The children observed, touched, smelled, and tasted different fruits such as watermelon, dragon fruit and bananas, learning about their colours, shapes and flavours while strengthening their language and sensory skills.
The children also transformed into “mini chefs” as they prepared their own banana and dragon fruit milkshakes! From cutting the fruits to observing their textures and tasting their delicious creations, the children experienced the joy of food preparation while learning to compare different flavours and textures created by various fruit combinations.
Through these fun-filled activities, the children gained meaningful life experiences, developed confidence in exploring new things, and discovered the joy of learning through hands-on exploration and sharing with friends!

The ChildFirst @ Tampines N1 children had fun revising the Letterland character Munching Mike and exploring the /m/ sound through an interactive activity. They eagerly “fed” the robot with picture cards featuring words such as mouse, mango, mask, and moon. Before feeding the robot, the children confidently practised saying the /m/ sound aloud, strengthening their phonics and sound recognition skills.
The learning continued with a hands-on art activity where the children tore and pasted coloured recycled paper onto uppercase “M” and lowercase “m” worksheets. Through this engaging experience, they strengthened their letter recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sound awareness while enjoying the process of creative learning. ✂️✨

太阳伞动起来,音乐真好玩!
在才儿坊(ChildFirst@Tampines)豆豆班的小朋友们,一起进行了有趣的音乐律动活动。孩子们围坐在彩色太阳伞旁,跟着音乐一起拉高、放低、摇一摇,感受“快”和“慢”的节奏变化。
当音乐变快时,太阳伞轻轻跳动;当音乐慢下来时,孩子们也慢慢放下小手。过程中大家认观察伞的变化,聆听音乐,配合动作,脸上充满笑容。
通过高低、快慢的律动变化,孩子们锻炼了身体协调能力,也提升了专注力与团队互动能力。在欢笑与音乐中,孩子们感受节奏、探索动作,一起享受快乐的学习时光。 🎵☀️
The ChildFirst @ Tampines PN children enjoyed an exciting music and movement activity using a colourful parachute activity. As the music played, the children worked together to lift the parachute up high, lower it gently and move it fast or slow according to the rhythm.
Through the flowing colours and changing movements, the children discovered concepts such as “high and low” and “fast and slow” in a fun and meaningful way. They listened attentively, coordinated their actions and shared many joyful moments with their friends beneath the moving parachute.
This engaging activity supported the children’s gross motor development, body coordination, listening skills, and social interaction. Through music, movement and laughter, the children experienced the joy of learning together while building confidence and teamwork. 🎵🌈

ChildFirst @ Hillview K1 children became word detectives today as they revisited the “ar” and “or” sounds!
They began with a short passage, putting their comprehension skills to the test while building confidence in reading. Using their blending skills, the children carefully sounded out and read words with increasing fluency.
The real excitement began when the classroom transformed into a mini word hunt! The children searched for the correct words to complete sentences from the story, making learning active, interactive and meaningful.
The challenge continued with an extension activity where even more words were missing from the sentences provided. The children had to think critically and apply their phonics knowledge to fill in the blanks accurately. They showed great focus and determination throughout the activity!

At ChildFirst @ Hillview, we are happy to share the vegetables and herbs lovingly grown by our children with our families! 🌱🥬🌿
Through these hands-on gardening experiences, we hope to nurture in our children a deeper appreciation for sustainability, healthy living and caring for the environment. Families are warmly invited to enjoy the harvest and it brings us so much joy to see the fresh ingredients transformed into delicious homemade dishes.
Learning becomes even more meaningful when it extends beyond the classroom and into our homes and community. 💚 ✨

The ChildFirst @ Hillview N2 children explored the topic of shapes through fun and engaging hands-on activities.
The lesson began with the story “Mouse Shapes” by Ellen Stoll Walsh, where the children were introduced to common shapes such as circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. They also learnt to describe the shapes and count the number of sides each shape had.
Following the story, the children went on an exciting “Shape Hunt” around the classroom, identifying shapes found in everyday objects in their environment.
To extend their learning, the children used cut-out shapes to create their own artwork, exploring how shapes can be arranged and combined to form pictures and designs.
Through these interactive experiences, the children developed their shape recognition, observation, counting, creativity, and fine motor skills while learning that shapes are all around them in everyday life.

The ChildFirst @ Hillview and ChildFirst @ Tampines K2 children came together for a special bonding session ahead of their upcoming Chongqing Immersion Trip! 🇨🇳
Through fun games, interactive activities, and meaningful conversations, the children had the opportunity to get to know one another, build new friendships and strengthen connections. 🥰
The session also helped to spark excitement and anticipation as they prepare to embark on this enriching learning journey together. 💛

在“制作香蕉吐司”的活动中,才儿坊(ChildFirst @ Hillview)中班的小朋友们观察香蕉、鸡蛋和吐司等食材,认识了不同食物的形态与颜色,丰富了视觉感知,提升了观察与表达能力。在亲自动手进行切片、涂抹与组合的过程中,幼儿锻炼了精细动作与手眼协调能力,激发了对食物制作的兴趣与创造力,同时增强了专注力。此外,活动过程中鼓励他们与同伴合作和分享成果,逐步建立合作意识与社交能力,也在体验中理解食物的来之不易,萌发珍惜食物、乐于参与劳动的良好生活态度与基本生活技能。
In the “Making Banana Toast” activity, the ChildFirst @ Hillview K1 children explored ingredients such as bananas, eggs and bread through observation, learning about their shapes and colours. This helped strengthen their visual awareness, observation and language skills.
As they sliced, spread and assembled their toast independently, the children strengthened their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration. The hands-on activity also encouraged creativity and interest in food preparation.
Working together and sharing their creations helped build teamwork and social skills, while also nurturing an appreciation for food and simple cooking experiences.
