New class in collaboration with MyGym@Tampines

The Little Musical Scientist (3-4 year olds) is a STEAM programme for young learners. The programme focuses on science base activities as this is the age where the children are the most inquisitive. We build on their inquisitiveness with hands on activities for them to learn how things work around them.

They will be introduced to early technology where they will learn why certain tools are made and how they are used.

They will also explore and experiment with early engineering where they will learn to think, create, test and improve on their creations. They will bring home 80% of their creations home for further exploration.

The students will also learn about process arts where they learn about variouos ways to produce an art piece, eg pendulum painting, yarn painting and others.

They will also participate in some mathematical activities to build their interest in maths through games and interactive activities.

β€˜β€˜Adding the β€˜A’ for art and design to science, technology, engineering, and math empowers creativities and promote collaboration across disciplines.’’ β€” Babette Allina

Nowadays, innovations require not only technical skills and scientific knowledge but also artistic talent. Design-thinking and creativity are necessary to bring innovation to fruition.

Children are born with curiosity, coming to explore the world with open minds. By infusing art into STEM education, children are encouraged to create as engineers, design as artists, and think as scientists and mathematicians!
