Some sessions just fill your heart. 🧡

He warned me not to eat the “gummies” because they’re poisonous inside, refused to go outside because “it will rain,” and was the only kid who actually kept his eyes closed during the matching game. 🙈

Every little moment is a window into how his mind works — curious, logical, and so full of personality.
45 minutes of sorting, matching, throwing, and sneaking in one last game after the alarm. 😄

Growth looks different every day, and I’m here for all of it. 🌱

Every child deserves more than just getting by, they deserve the chance to truly thrive. 💛

This powerful reminder from a parent of a child with Dyslexia says it all. Advocacy starts with believing in your child’s potential, even when the road feels hard. And you don’t have to walk it alone.

At The Learning Nest SG, we partner with families to go beyond the basics, nurturing every child’s unique strengths and helping them reach heights they never thought possible. 🌱

Because your child isn’t defined by their challenges. They are defined by how far they can go with the right support, love, and belief behind them.

💬 “I don’t just want my child to meet their basic needs. I want to help them strive for their highest potential.”
— A parent of a child with Dyslexia, Understood.org

Are you advocating for your child’s potential? We’d love to be part of that journey. 🤍

🧠 Every child is constantly reading the room, but sometimes they need a little help understanding what they’re seeing (and what they’re showing).

In this session, we explored the nuances of social dynamics:

🗺 He mapped out his entire class: identifying friendship groups, social leaders, and where conflict tends to brew. His observational skills? Genuinely impressive.

⚖️ We sorted behaviours into what builds real connection vs. what can quietly push people away, and he got it more right than wrong.

💡 The biggest insight of the day: there’s often a gap between what we think we’re communicating and how others actually receive it. Recognising that gap? That’s where growth begins.

Social skills aren’t about being the most popular person in the room. They’re about feeling like you belong — and helping others feel that way too. 💛

Your child’s ability to communicate starts at home. 💛
When they feel heard, they learn to speak up — in class, with friends, and in life.

Try it today: put down your phone, ask them one question, and just listen.

Dots & sticks memory activity ✨ Two things to remember — position and colour. One little learner giving it her all. This is what learning looks like when it’s tailored, unhurried, and full of heart. 🌟

Every small step matters.

Today’s focus: learning how to wash independently with support and encouragement 💛

📖 3 Reading Habits We Always Recommend for Early Learners

Building strong reading foundations starts with the right daily habits, and it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Here’s what we always come back to:

1. Read aloud together. 📣
Hearing fluent, expressive reading helps early learners connect sounds to words and develop comprehension, even before they can read independently.

2. Make it a routine, not a task. 🕐
Consistency matters more than duration. Even 10–15 minutes of reading at the same time each day builds habit, focus, and a positive relationship with books.

3. Ask questions, not just for answers, but for thinking. 💭
“What do you think will happen next?” or “Why did the character do that?” encourages deeper engagement and strengthens critical thinking from an early age.

Small habits, big impact. These are the building blocks we use every day in our work with learners at The Learning Nest SG.

Flour on the hands, joy in the heart. 🧁

The best lessons don’t come from textbooks — they come from doing. Mixing, measuring, waiting, and then… the magic happens. ✨

Little bakers, big lessons. 🍪

Your child doesn’t need a perfect home. They need a connected one. 🌿

When children with ADHD and Dyslexia feel emotionally anchored, to you, to their interests, to safe spaces, they don’t just cope. They thrive.

Start small. Put the phone down. Get on their level. Ask about what they love. That connection is more powerful than any strategy or intervention.

“Create a connected environment for your child, full of emotional connections to people, places, and activities they love. A connected child feels positively engaged in the world — and that feeling is like an inoculation against despair.”
— Dr. Edward Hallowell, M.D.

💛 Save this if it resonates. Share it with a parent who needs to hear it today.

One slow, careful stroke at a time. 🧡 This little one is learning something bigger than drawing, they’re learning to be in control of their own hands, their own pace, their own effort. That’s the foundation of every great learner.
