Swim Rite Aquatic School ™ (SRAS) provides structured and progressive swimming classes for all ages.

Our Swim Teachers are all certified by AUSTSWIM, ASCTA, STA and/or SG-Coach. Swim Rite Aquatic School is setup with the hope that everyone should learn how to swim. Swimming is not an end, through swimming, one develop confidence when in the water hence opening doors to other aquatic activities.

Frontcrawl over rotation is common issue with young learner, one of the drill is to provide a physical feedback when the learner rotate to breath.

Sidestroke requires the top leg (the one that is closer to surface) to do a step down action while the bottom leg has to do a flutter kick action. However, it is common for learners to perform step down action for both legs. To correct this, have the learner wear a fin on the bottom leg, this enhances the feel of the water, he will know it when the kick is correct because it will make him moves.

We teach beginners to do a shallow pull with straight arms, like sweeping their arms along the sides of their body. As they progress, they learn better pull technique which what we call 'put your arms around your friend's shoulder'. The key is not to let the elbow lead the pull at this stage.

Young children takes time to develop their motor skills, so what do we teach at this age? We teach them how to swim to safety with kick-breathe drill. Mastering this skill enables them to swim back to safety hence giving parents greater peace of mind when their child is enjoying the water (Adult supervision is still required).

Arm timing in backstroke is one of the harder skill to learn. Using marching drill, you can instill properly timing which is to lift the trailing arm first before pulling with the leading arm.
