Always worried that children don’t know how to expand their compositions and that their writing is too short?

This is exactly why our composition classes emphasize discussion. Under the teacher’s guidance, students learn to expand their writing through action descriptions, five senses, and expressions of feelings.

Sometimes, when a student’s expression is not rich enough, the teacher will guide them to add more details and useful phrases. For example, if a student is writing about changing a test score, they should describe the action:
“小明拿出红笔，把30分改成80分”。

They can also add adjectives and extra details:
“小明东张西望，趁着没人注意时，就偷偷摸摸地拿出红笔，把30分改成80分。”

In oral exams, besides knowing how to speak, having opinions is equally important. When students struggle to answer, it’s often because they lack ideas and perspectives.

That’s why in our Oral Programme, we don’t just focus on speaking skills, such as using proper sentence structures and accurate vocabulary, but also train students to develop and organize their thoughts around different themes.

For example, if the question is “How do you usually plan your holidays?”, the teacher will remind students that besides mentioning exam preparation, they can also talk about balancing study and rest, such as scheduling time for sports or relaxation, to make their answers more complete and engaging.

We place great emphasis on discussion with students — about story ideas, good phrases, and effective sentence structures. In fact, students often have wonderful ideas; they just don’t know how to express them in writing. That’s where our teachers come in — to guide, inspire, and help them develop their strengths while improving their weaknesses.

For example, when discussing how to describe a rainy day, the teacher might remind students: don’t just write about the rain! You can also include dark clouds, lightning, wind, and thunder. Use the five senses to make the writing more vivid. Of course, building vocabulary is equally important!
